Introduction
Lean thinking is considered as one of the common information about the methods used
by an organization for operation. However, the lean principles help to improve operation
constantly and emphasize on the procedure of delivering particular value to customers as well as
enterprises. It also assists in rethinking the principles as well as practices for several years. There
is a new and transformative approach followed by the enterprise in operation. Present study deals
with management methodologies of World Congress in Information Technology (WCIT) 2018
held in Hyderabad, India. In the study, voice of the customers and their requirements, Critical
Quality Parameters (CTQ) and the procedure of implementing the project are discussed.
Moreover, agile practices and Lean Six Sigma are explained with respect to the selected case
study.

Consumer Aspect
Voice of the Customer
Nicholas and Steyn (2017) stated that Voice of the customer is a term used in business as
well as information technology in order to explain in-depth procedure of capturing expectations,
preferences as well as aversions. In World Congress in Information Technology (WCIT) 2018,
the customers are mainly the participants of the program. The major expectations of the
participants are gaining and displaying knowledge for ideas, innovation, strategy, business as
well future. In addition, showcasing immersive experience in business, technology and
leadership and watching achievement of others are the expectations of the customers in World
Congress in Information Technology (WCIT) 2018.
World Congress in Information Technology (WCIT) 2018 is one of the major
international ICT platforms, dependent on processing of the event. The event is a seminar based
on the response of the viewers. It is significant to organize committee to seek the significance of
project management as well as the sole reason that the management of business processing
manage with the assistance of voice of customers who are considered significant in nature. The
requirements of consumers are considered due to the revenue generated from sponsors. It leads
to the fact the data management is performed with the highest efficiency and became the sole
reason for implementing the project.
This is one of the reasons that deployment of Voice of Customers had an impact on
functioning of World Congress in Information Technology (WCIT) 2018. In case of generating
any kind of issues in the main processing of the event is maintained through fulfilment of the
demands of the sponsors (considered as customers) based on the processing of successful

completion of World Congress in Information Technology (WCIT) 2018 (Brioso, 2015). As
some of the visitors invest with no experience on the particular type of event, it was required for
appropriate guidance and assistance from higher authority or organizers in order to organize
World Congress in Information Technology (WCIT) 2018.
Critical to Customer Requirements (CCR)
The main aim in the project is generally used in a project as a reference credential as well
as the cost incurred in processing of the particular project. In addition, quality of the product
received after payment of standard money and availability of the products that has an important
role for completing the project. In this perspective, the visitors come from multiple countries to
the organizing country, the cost required for processing of entire process is taken into
consideration as the main cause of the stakeholders. After checking the cost incurred on the
project, availability of the product is the main reason of not expanding. If quality of the product
is not up to the mark, there would be loss in the market (Tenera & Carneiro, 2014). It leads to the
fact that managing information of the business in World Congress in Information Technology
(WCIT) 2018 has been performed with accuracy. It this perspective, the main prospect is utilized
for completing the project. It is helpful for the employees for gaining better processing. It assists
in expanding the techniques used in the project. The method of deploying the methods is
required for the data (Verzuh, 2015). The clients will be happily include a strong point for
business management of World Congress in Information Technology (WCIT) 2018 held in
Hyderabad, India. It leads to the fact that management of data is stored for better maintenance.

Critical to Quality Parameters (CTQ)
The most significant parameter is important for quality parameter. The aim of using the
parameter is determining critical quality of the project. It is referred as internal system quality.
The parameter is utilized to determine the requirement of active customers of the project. On the
contrary, the critical requirements are utilized to detect the requirements of the customer. It is
important to ensure quality in order to determine the reasons of using the procedure. The
parameter adds satisfaction to the customers for specifically served service through assessment
of quality of the services. In the process, the consumers are not able to gain advantages that they
get directly from critical quality parameter (Roanoke & Williamson, 2017). It has an important
role for completing the project as the level of satisfaction of the consumers are considered as
utmost requirement.
In the case of World Congress in Information Technology (WCIT) 2018, the critical
quality parameter assists the project manager satisfying the customers more. It is achieved
through setting of a base price of sponsorship or advertisement, which is affordable for the
organizations associated with the project. On the other hand, it requires to be checked that the
price of sponsorship is not very low so that the standard of the project decrease. It helps to attract
people in the project. Hence, the price of sponsorship or advertisement need to be balanced and
suitable with current market (Anholon & Sano, 2016). With the type of balanced price, food as
well as price of beverage service can assist the project management service through adding
additional value to the service. Moreover, it will assist the project manager satisfying the
consumers more as well as enhance quality of the existing services. The consumers are the
participants or spectators of the program. Hence, it is also required to ensure that the project will
accommodate a large number of people to participate.

Implementation of Lean Project Management
This part of the project discusses the process of implementing the technique of lean
project management. The techniques are based on the lean principle. The principle consists of
lean construction, lean thinking as well as lean manufacturing. In order to deploy the project
World Congress in Information Technology (WCIT) 2018, some of the best practices are
required to follow (Sohi et al., 2016). The practices can specify value of the customers,
eliminates waste as well as determines the product value along with the last case is increasing
current service quality.

Determination of the value in the project is considered as the best practice in order to
implement the lean project. The project consists of all the actions or the procedures of the
project. The procedure or action can be value added as well as non-value added (Brioso, 2015).
The major explanation of the practice is converting few raw materials into some final products
that can provide advantages or values to the consumer. In the context of World Congress in
Information Technology (WCIT) 2018, the raw materials are considered as the venue because
the venue is considered as one of the major things that project manager requires to ready for the
perfect conditions of the program.
Elimination of waste is considered as the most significant practice in order to implement
the lean project management. In the case of lean project management, waster is considered of
something that does not have any kind of value for the project. Identification of the type of waste

is difficult for the project managers. In order to determine the type of waste, a significant
evaluation can be helpful. In order to assess the practice in World Congress in Information
Technology (WCIT) 2018, there are several parameters as well as conditions that may require to
consider as there is a certain change in the existing system that can turn as valuable item into
waste in the system. In the case, a valuable item of the system is venue of the project (Dave et
al., 2016). However, the venue can become a waste if any kind of specific changes are occurred
in the system.
For the project, if a natural disaster or any type of manmade disaster hits the venue, the
venue would become not suitable to conduct the matches and considered as a waste in the project
management system as it does not provide any type of value to the consumers, who are
participants in the project (Dave et al., 2016). The project manager needs to eliminate the type of
uncertainty before selection of any venue to conduct World Congress in Information Technology
(WCIT) 2018. In order to eliminate the uncertainty, the project managers requires to develop an
appropriate plan for managing the type of situation. Appropriate assessment of atmosphere
before selection of the venue can assists the project manager in avoiding the occurrence of the
type of situation.
One of the significant factors or practices for implementing the lean project management
is quality of enhancement over time. In this perspective, responsibility of the project manager is
evaluating the present valuable services to the consumers and developing a plan to improve the
services until optimal condition (Sertyesilisik & Kivircik, 2017). In terms of providing outline of
the project, the project managers can take assistance from participants or stakeholders associated
with World Congress in Information Technology (WCIT) 2018. The project manager can collect
information regarding the enhancement factors of the services through conduction of a survey.

The data collected from the survey can be helpful to analyze as well as implement the
changes accordingly. The participants can provide a better idea of the procedure of improving
the service as they are directly enhanced with the services (Sertyesilisik & Kivircik, 2017). The
feedback regarding the process of implementation requires the participants in order to suggest
new services, which can be deployed in the scenario that can assist the project manager in order
to satisfy the participants. In this perspective, the discussed factors provide additional values to
the project.
Elaboration of procedure
PMBOOK
Project management body of knowledge is one of the entities that lays down the
principles and guidelines adopted as the major part of project management initiative (Guimaraes
et al., 2019). It consist if the guide of PMBOOK so that the project is consulted properly. In
addition, the guide of PMBOOK is one of the recognized standards for project management
profession for World Congress in Information Technology (WCIT) 2018. A standard for
managing project for World Congress in Information Technology (WCIT) 2018 is the formal
document that explains developed norms for managing projects, methods, procedures as well as
practices. In addition, the PMBOOK guide provides guidelines to manage the project. In the
procedure of deploying the project, major functioning of the project management strategy
consists of the act that requires completion of the project that can be guided from PMBOOK. On
the other hand, in order to provide a valuable product, which is the live programs of World
Congress in Information Technology (WCIT) 2018, the project manager requires enhancing
quality of the venues (Oakland & Marosszeky, 2018). PMBOOK is helpful to achieve the

process. It can ensure better program conditions for the participants. With the enhancement, the
project manager requires to ensure that the enhancements are properly maintained with time. The
process of enhancement consists of deploying appropriate security services with well-organized
program in the selected venue. PMBOOK can be helpful for the project managers to manage
time efficiently in projects.
PRINCE2
It is an acronym for the projects that are in action. It is referred as the project
management methodology can prescribe particular methods and the process, which are helpful in
order to deliver the projects with several type of size and complexity (Sertyesilisik & Kivircik,
2017). Engagement of the methodology can lead to the understanding of various situations and
aspects. It is helpful for managing the projects and control environments. The process-based
method to manage project efficiently can be achieved by PRINCE2. It is widely recognized as
well as well as used in private sector. In order to satisfy the consumers most, the major priority is
required to provide on enhancing the program conditions to optimal conditions. It means all the
aspects with participating in the program are the most considerable part in the project. PRINCE2
helps to develop and enhance project management skills. In addition, it is a methodology
compared to instruction assists the project managers to deploy the project successfully. Along
with these, common vocabulary and flexibility are the major benefits of using PRINCE2 in the
mentioned project.
Organizational project management
Organizational project management is one of the important procedures to execute the
strategies of the organization through combining of multiple aspects like project, program as well

as portfolio management (Sertyesilisik & Kivircik, 2017). It is one of the unique processes that
helps to enable the management of several components like hospitality management system. In
order to satisfy the requirements, the project managers can deploy several ideas like selection of
the venues in which the organization of World Congress in Information Technology (WCIT)
2018 will be perfect (Bascoul, Tuholski & Tommelein, 2016). Organizational project
management helps to execute strategies of the project by combining the systems of portfolio
management, program management as well as project management. An ANSI/PMI 08-004-2008
standard helps the project managers to manage the project systematically.
Agile practices
It is one of the project management methodology from the where the sponsors are usually
involved in the project management aspect. In the methodology, it is essential part of World
Congress in Information Technology (WCIT) 2018 in project management (Oakland &
Marosszeky, 2018). Hence, the process needs detection of the key stakeholders and working
efficiently with them. In addition, agile project management is one of the iterative approaches iin
order to make planning as well as guiding project procedures. Agile projects can be completed in
small sections, called as iterations. Use of agile project management in World Congress in
Information Technology (WCIT) 2018 can be helpful to emphasize on continuous enhancement,
scope flexibility, input as team as well as delivering necessary quality products. Agile
approaches consist of scrum as a framework and extreme programming in order to develop in
quality upfront as well as lean thinking in order to eliminate waste.

Lean Six Sigma (DMAIC methodology)
The lean six sigma methodology is one of the unique project management methodologies,
which can be helpful to estimate additional and overbearing activities so that it can be helpful to
eliminate waste. The six sigma connotation can be helpful to specify that the project can be
executed having a minimal error (Dave et al., 2016). Thus, in order to develop quality parameter
implemented through previous programs. It is essential to deliver a minimum margin of error. It
is helpful to define, measure, analyze, enhance as well as control the project that is referred to a
data-driven procedures as well as designs. Use of lean six sigma can assist in data driven quality
strategy utilized for enhancing process. 5 Whys, Affinity Diagram, 5S, Analytic Hierarchy
Process (AHP), Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), Brainstorming, Calculators and Capability
Indices or Process Capability are the tools used in six sigma that can be helpful for the project.
Conclusion
Effective lean project management can be helpful to manage several aspects of a project
without any error until completing the scopes, time and budget. It is one of the significant
concepts as the project aspects are related and dependent on the procedure of management
aspects effectively. Practicing the principles of project management need an appropriate lean
management principle and proper shifting of mind set. Moreover, it is required to focus with
proper goals as well as maximize the procedure. Business agility can hinge the ability of using as
well as adapting the process properly. In this perspective, the role of leader needs alignment of
the teams across common target. It is also vital to develop and ensure the procedure of smart
discussions. It allows a sustainable approach so that it would be helpful for the organization. In
addition, it creates an environment that has the ability to improve the project and hire ambitious
players across through providing effective process.
