League of Nations”. The mandates of the Middle East were Syria, Lebanon, Transjordan and
Palestine.
Syria and Lebanon which are the two mandates of the League of Nations are the two
areas in the middle east that was formed as a result of this mandate. This was as a result of the
partitioning of the “Ottoman Empire”. The defeat of the Ottomans resulted in the entering of the

government post war. However in the following times the French army occupied the Lebanese
