Lean:
The lean process was introduced by the auto giant Toyota of japan in the year of 1980
which covered all the facets of the manufacturing process in a business which covers the
quality assurance. The primary aim of the practice was to ensure elimination of the waste and
to reduce the costs and the time of the products being manufactured (Bhamu & Singh
Sangwan, 2014). The lean process helps the organisation to earn more profits by reducing the
manufacturing costs and recycling the waste products. This process is now widely followed
by many international manufacturing organisation as this process is very much simple to
execute.
Six Sigma:
The six sigma is one of the other major widely used and well recognised improvement
which allows the organisation to eliminate the defects in any process of manufacturing. This
was invented by the Motorola Organisation in the year of the 1985. Six Sigma, a disciplined,
data-driven approach, statistical-based and continuous improvement methodology The six
sigma have two methodologies namely the DMAIC that is the Define, Measure, Analyse,
Improve and Control and the secondly the DMADV that is Define, Measure, Analyse, Design
and Verify (Boakye et al., 2017). The process of implementing the six sigma is hard and
needs a specialised team that sole works for this process. Hence this is followed only in
special cases.
Business process management
The business process management can be explained as the discipline in the operation
by the management which is used for the purpose discovering, modelling, analysing,
measuring, improving and optimising and automating a business process (Jeston, 2014). The
