Introduction of the Speaker
Salman Khan, popularly known as Sal Khan is an entrepreneur who works in the
sector of education. He started the Khan Academy that provides learning of a variety of
subjects through online platforms in form of videos. He has also founded the Khan Lab
School. He has released 6,500 educational videos that help learning of subjects like
mathematics and science.
Summary
The idea that is conveyed through the video is to show the capability of the human
mind and how it works for the development of the individual being. The basic idea is to
understand that human brain is a complex arrangement that helps in the learning process
which involves the recognition and the application of concepts that are learnt.
The metacognitive concept of learning is necessary to adapt to the process of learning
as brain requires different strategies to learn new concepts. Those individuals who learn the
things easily are the ones who have active brain functioning and the desire to learn new
concepts. This differentiates them from the rest of the individuals who are not able to grasp
the concept of learning.
Metacognition is the ability of one’s brain that makes the individual aware about his
own thinking process. These skills provide direction to the individual for developing his
abilities. This concept was associated with the process of how an individual would be able to
learn by having introspect in the process of learning.
Evaluation
Learning is an important aspect in the development of human brain and the individual.
The capacity that rests in human brain are enormous that can be explored with the help of
