This research project aims to explore the impact of the least cost selection method on construction project success. It will identify the effects of the method and compare best practices. The study will be conducted as a case study on Gaborone city council. The research methodology will involve qualitative research and primary data collection through questionnaires. The research will focus on the impact of cost selection on risk, threat, profit, and quality. The study will also compare different practices used in construction projects, such as procurement, partnering, risk management, and value management.
