providing the personal protective equipment. It has also been analysed that the company is
considering the possibility of hosting much more extravagant events. Report will lay focus on

It has been analysed from the case study that G Ltd is been involved in providing extravagant
hospitality services to their guests. They also have access to bars. This is basically been done by
company in order to gain competitive advantage. The BOD has recently learned that one such
competitor was been involved in taking bribery.
UK’s Bribery act 2010 can be applied to bribery committed by companies and any
individual in any part of United Kingdom. Offence of Bribing the other person includes the

A person can be held guilty if they are been involved in any of the cases which is mentioned

 A person provides financial advantage or any other sort of advantage to other person
The advantage is been intruded by the person because of the following reasons:
 To motivate a person so that they can perform inappropriately

The other case which can be considered in this situation and can also held an individual or
person liable for committing the act of Bribery includes the following:
 Person has promised to give financial advantage to another person
 The other person has a proper idea that the acceptance of an offer would be
unappropriated if been functioned.
In the present case situation, the G Ltd company can be held charged for bribery under the
United Kingdom’s act or law (Sobiecka, 2017). The act makes it an offence when they bribe
another person, accepts any type of bribery and also are engaged in bribing any type of public
official. Severe cases can be charged against them if they are been involved in any such type of

situations or conditions. This act is only not limited to public officials but are also applied on the
business to business dealings. If G Ltd is been involved in doing any such type of act they can be
sued against for the case of Bribery. It has also been analysed that Bribery also do not only
include the cash payments but it also takes into consideration the gifts, holiday vouchers and
other sources of entertainment. The most basic purpose of the bribe is to induce someone so that
they can corrupt themselves and providing unfair benefits to the other person. If G Ltd. company
is involved in doing such things then they can be held up and charge for some serious crimes.

them liable for taking bribery as they are offering these services to guests and travellers so that
they can expand their other business and there good will is being maintained by this business.

From the above discussion it has been summarised that bribe means to corrupt some one
in order to fulfil one selfish desired. It means giving financial advantage to some one lese for the
benefit of one self. If any company is been involved in taking bribe they can be sued and also,
they can be charged with high amount of penalty. It is also illegal if directors have no
information related to bribery and they have been alone sanctioned. G Ltd can be held liable if
engaged in doing any such type of act. They can be held liable in the case of bribery as they are

engaged in doing offence if they fail to prevent the offering of any type of Bribery in their
organisation (Kim, Rees and Sila, 2020). Even if the offer is been made by a person who is
working on their behalf. This act only not covers the employees but also includes joint ventures
and other subsidiaries business too. If G Ltd is been involved in expanding their corporate
entertainment they might face severe consequences related bribery. This can also affect the
working of their busines. It has been analysed that under this act Corporate hospitality and gifts
are not been completely prohibited. But there are chances that if these gifts go beyond the
excessive limit like G Ltd is planning to do and all this is being done as an effort to enhance a

company’s image, brand reputation maintaining better consumer relationship, or promote a
business’ goods and services, then a corrupt inference might be drawn. So, if G ltd is been
engaged in expanding their extra vagrant services beyond their limits then they might be
considered and collapsed in the case of bribery. So, for this the company needs to be really
careful as involving in the case of Bribery will also damaged their brand image and reputation
and their relationship with consumers can also get affected. This is because giving extra
hospitality services as a gift to their clients beyond their limits can be considered as act of Bribe.
Recommendations to avoid future allegations of Bribery
There are various steps that needs to be taken by G Ltd in order to overcome and get safe
from the future allegations of Bribery. As it has been analysed from the act that giving corporate
and hospitality gift beyond their excessive limit, might bring charges to them for bribery. The
gifts which are reasonable is being accepted under the act (Trautman and Kimbell, 2018). So, G
Ltd needs to revisit and remake their strategies for going extra miles for their consumers. It has
been analysed that giving some one financial advantage to change their decision might consider
as bribery. It means that G Ltd needs to make sure that they are not providing excessive
corporate and hospitality gifts in order to maintain the company image and better client
relationship. They must be engaged in providing client with reasonable gifts.
CONCLUSION
From the above study it has been summarised that If any company is been involved in
taking bribe they can be sued and also, they can be charged with high amount of penalty. It has
been analysed that giving someone the financial advantage to change their decision can also be
considered as the act of bribe. Any individual who is been involved in doing so can be sued and
also can be held criminally liable. It has also been analysed that this included hospitality and
corporate gifts to beyond excessive level.
