INTRODUCTIONA legal framework is concerned with a step of rules, procedural steps often establishedthrough common law on the basis of which decisions are given in the court. It is a documentunder which the rules, regulations and obligations of government, citizen and companies areset and it is mandatory for them to abide by in order to avoid any legal consequences. ThePotato council was established in UK in the year 1997 to promote the production and sellingof potatoes in the country. As of 2019, there are more than 2900 potato farmers and 700distributors that sell and export in different part of the world. It is a division of non-departmental public body and comes under the division of agriculture and horticulturedevelopment board. The current report will focus on the nature of legal system, its impact onbusiness, formation of different business and legal solutions in solving disputes.MAIN BODYDifferent sources of English law.The major source of English law are legislation, common law, European law and Europeanconvention law.Legislation: Legislation involves preparation of laws by local, state ornational parties. The UK parliament holds the power to pass the laws and itfurther includes the house of commons and house of lords. The house ofcommons consists of 650 members where each member represents ageographical location and is voted by the people living in that area.Whereas, the house of lords consists of 800 individuals out of which the 600are appointed by Queen on the recommendation of Prime Minister and theother member are inherited ‘lord’ or ‘lady’ of the England. The legitimate arrangement of England and Wales is a customary law one, sothe choices of the senior investigative courts (see beneath) become someportion of the law (Austen-Baker, 2017). European Union Law: The UK is a Member State of the European Union(EU), which implies that EU law outweighs UK law. The European Convention on Human Rights As a Member State of the Council of Europe, the UK is a signatory to theEuropean Convention on Human Rights (ECHR). The Human Rights Act1998, which became effective in October 2000, empowers every one of thecourts in the UK to ensure the rights distinguished in the ECHR. How UK Law is arranged A qualification is made between open law, which oversees the connectionbetween singular residents and the state, and private law, which administersconnections among people and private associations.
