4.1 Reviewing legal requirements and responsibility in relation to development of resources.
For the teachers development of resources is very challenging for which it is important to teach
them in effective way. There are some laws which teacher is required to consider while developing of resources
which are mentioned below-
Healthy and safety regulation act, 1992- This act helps in providing safety to students in schools regarding
the equipment’s. The educational institution is responsible for ensuring the well-being of students. The
business management teacher takes use of several digital technologies for developing of new learning so that
safety is needed to provide students (Niinikoski, and Toivonen, 2021).
Copyright design act, 1988- The law is focusing on the owners’ rights which should be protected which
using of resources. The teacher has focus on developing of new resources in for teaching students effectively
and developing of new learning. This act provides control of created document to author along with all
student are able to get chance to be creative.
Equality act, 2010- This law helps teacher in offering equal opportunities to all students. The resources is
provided to every students developed by the teacher and no discrimination should be done on basis of
backgrounds. The teacher should create the resources in such a way that each student can grasp the message
quickly. (Hayden, 2019).
4.2 Examining implication of intellectual property rights and
copyright for the development and use of resources.
The intellectual property rights define to legal rights which is provided to
inventor or creator in order to protect the invention or creation for certain period
of time. According to the Copyright Act of 1988, the creator's writings or
materials are considered his or her intellectual property. Without the owner's
permission, this property cannot be duplicated or used. This act must be followed
by students, and they must remember that unauthorised use of property has a
penalty. When students are inside an organisation, the Copyright Act ensures that
they are aware of and respect the rules (Jensen, and et.al., 2021). Teachers at
universities must follow this act and ensure that their students comply as well.
Following the proper method is crucial for both the teacher and the students.
Teachers should be aware of the Intellectual Property Rights Act since they
publish new articles in their fields of study.
