Introduction
Canada is set to become a second country in the world for permitting the
legal consumption of spare time marijuana. The Cannabis Act enacted
through the Canadian Senate on 21st June, administers the development,
allocation and sale of reformation of marijuana in Canada. In the following
parts, the perspectives on the legal policy as well as Canadian law related to
drugs are discussed. Additionally, this paper states what makes the drugs
illegal. The paper also provides the arguments for legalization of drugs.
Legal policy and Canadian laws for drugs
Enhancing a support for the more standardize method to marijuana, has led
to decriminalization in various places. More significantly, the politicians made
responses to the polls. For years, legalization was attainable only by public
referendum to making changes in laws. The Controlled Drugs and
Substances Act that is major law of drug-control, criminally bans the control,
development, manufacturing, exporting as well as importing of some listed
substances, such as cocaine, marijuana, heroin, and various narcotics. The
utilization for marijuana for reformation purpose is presently banned. In a
starting of year 2000, it is aimed at decriminalization of minor crimes related
to marijuana had addressed but were not passed. The present Liberal
government of Canada makes the plan on addressing of legislation legalizing

and controlling leisure time of marijuana at a central level in the spring of
2017 1.
What makes the drugs illegally
The drug trafficking is the international illegal trade including development,
production, allocation, allotment and sale of substance that is subject to drug
prohibition law2. The legalization of drugs can give the wrong messages to
the vast majority of individuals who don’t receive drugs, specially young as
well as susceptible individuals, with a probable severe risk of enhanced
misutilisation of drugs. Even though different drugs have various physical
effects, the symptom of addiction is comparable. It is assumed by various
individuals that drugs are not legal because they are risky. The reason that
drugs like heroin, marijuana, cocaine, and others are against the law,
nowadays have far more to do with finances3.
Arguments for Legalization of drugs
In Canada, the recommended opioids are officially permitted. The overdose
death from treated drugs has reached endemic level. The various people
died because of the overdose of drugs. Legalizing harder drugs such as
