INTRODUCTION
Legislation refer to the laws that are use to develop for make an organisation or sector to
sustain and retain for longer period of time. This laws are formulated by government to provide
guidelines and instruction to run business in a country. While the word ethics refer to the
behaviour of human being that is perform to complete an activity. With the help of these both an
organisation to make sustainable development and protect natural resources of a country. The
organisation for complete of Task 1 is Breytenbachs Immigration consultant Ltd and for task 2
thomas cook is considered and in task 3 brightsun travel agency is chosen for complete of task.
At last to accomplish task 4 whitbread is chosen. They all are operating their business under
travel and tourism sector.

2.1 Legislation and regulations relating to health, safety and security in the travel and tourism
sector
Health and Safety at Work Act, 1974: On 22 march, 1974 this act was introduced, this
act state that as per organisation like thomas cook needs to keep good working culture and
positive work environment. This help employees to bring more performance in their work.
Data Protection Act, 1988: . This act was introduced to control and regulate privacy of
data that relate with its clients. As it not used by external bodies of government. This act was
introduced on July 16, 1988.
Occupiers Liability Act, 1984: As per condition of this act there are different factors that
are danger in the working environment of company (Del Baldo, 2016). So on march 13, 1984
this act was introduced and according to this owner of Thomas cook convey this danger that
include property, machine etc. In case any miss-incident owner is liable that happen at work
place.
Impacts of legislations and regulations
The above mention act are implemented for safety and security of employees that are
working in travel industry or at time of training process. Occupier act state that the company is
