professional. during his practise he was so good in this game but he was not able to become a
baseball or becausr of his age factors and his own colour and cast. so he missed the opportunities

wasn't one of the shocking news for his all the family members because his son loves to play the
football but earlier there was a discrimination among the people on the basis of colour which was
not correct Anne it was the reason he don't wanted his son to be facing. there are many people

There was many consequences due to his film because of people make objectives like it was not

Many people create comments and consequences about the film that it was released to
discrimination and it’s create a bad impact on the society because it was showing the

people and living people who are in society.
In every house it is noticed that always woman is managing domestic issues, because they are
knowing everything and they can handle problems. In the film Fences Rose is handling all issues
and she was knowing that what was happened with Troy. It is important that all people should
get equal opportunity and there must be no discrimination among people on the basis of colour,
race, gender or work they are doing. It is the responsibility of government to make rules and
regulations for the safety of people and there should be no bias on the basis of colour because it
is not in the hands of an individual person to decide their colour or income (Strmic-Pawl,
Jackson and Garner,2018). So, the main aim of film was to educate people about equality and
there should be no discrimination, all must have right to speak and share their views.
It is not that easy to handle you matter within the house but who made is solving all the problems
by finding the solution and it is noticed in the film that how rose who was the wife of tory has
supported the decision's and solution provided by her. they are not having any option to save

Erik Erikson’s stages of psychosocial development for Tory
Intimacy Vs Isolation is 6th stage in stages of psychological development by Erik Erikson.
This is a stage at the age of 19 to 40. In this age young adults need to develop intimate and
loving relationships with other people. Success in doing so leads to relationship and failure can
result in isolation and loneliness. This also involve covers period of early adulthood when people

are exploring their personal relationship. Intimacy involves several aspects including deep
meaningful connection, enduring connections with people, positive relationship with family and
friends and strong relationships. Opposite to this, when individual does not have positive
relationship with family and friends, it creates a state of isolation.
Tory is in stage of isolation and this is because of several reasons including his childhood
experience of discrimination and also his ability to express about his past relationship and also
his relationship with Alberta to his wife and friend. This suggests that Tory is in state of Isolation
because due to his past experience he does not have many relationships and because of his
relationship with Alberta, his relationship with his wife also got ruined. In addition to this his
relationship with his son was also not good and collectively this led him in stage of isolation and
loneliness and lastly his relationship with his friend also ended.
Concept of isolation in stage of Intimacy Vs Isolation is completely fit for Tory because
several incidences and events in his life ultimately ended to bring him in isolation. All his
relationships were ended and he was left having no family and friends. However, this was
because of his past experiences of life as well as his inability to express his feelings and
relationships. This concept is complete fit and appropriate for the situation of Tory.
Erik Erikson’s stages of psychosocial development for Cory
Identity Vs Confusion is fifth stage of psychological development and this occurs during
adolescence between ages 12 to 18. In this stage adolescents explore their independence and
develop sense of self. In this individuals develop sense of personal identity and this continues to
influence their behaviour and development rest of their life. It is required that in order to enable
individuals to develop a strong sense of their identity they are encouraged and motivated and
through this they become able to have control. However, when adolescents remain of their
beliefs and desires and feel insecure and confused, they get in state of confusion.
Cory can be considered to be in this stage on the basis of his age and later in terms of
development, Tory is in state of Confusion because his desires to play football were not
encouraged and rather discouraged by his father. Cory was being forced by his father to do job
and also not to play football which was perceived by his as identity and wanted to play football
and become successful in football. However because of Troy he could not play and this landed
him in state of Confusion.

This theory when is compared with Havighurst’s Developmental Task Theory and in this
developmental tasks of Adolescents when are considered it involves achieving emotional
independence of parents and other adults and preparing for economic career. On the basis of this,
it can be said that Cory was not emotionally independent and at the same time he was also not
preparing for economic career. He wanted to have a career in football but because of his father
he could not pursue his career in football. Overall it can be said that Cory was being negatively
influenced at his stage of development. This was because of family circumstances and also
because of past experience of his father.
Here it can be said that situation of Cory was a good fit for stage of theory that Identity
Vs Confusion. This is because all elements of the life of Cory and theory are strongly related to
each other. However, in this element of his mother and impact of his mother was not considered
and this creates scope for argument.
Erik Erikson’s stages of psychosocial development for Rose
Generativity vs. Stagnation is 7th stage in theory and in adults need to create and nurture
things that outlast them and this involves having children and creating positive benefit for other
people. Success in doing this develops feeling of usefulness and failure results in shallow
involvement in world.
Stagnation can be considered as fit for development of Rose. This is because Rose
focused on her family life and later it came at end through end of her relationship with her
husband. Theory of Levinson's theory outline Mid-life transition when individuals are seen
firstly as parents and this creates feeling of irritation and individuals also become aware of what
life is and this is what is known as Mid-life Crisis, that Rose is going through.
