INTRODUCTION System theory refers interdisciplinary study of systems which may be influenced by many factors such as: environmental, time and others (Scott, 2019). This study is going to show importance of using system theories as per the situation of people and improving their health. With the help of appropriate system theories, quality of health can be improved by solving all problems. Evaluation of system theory in relation to Candice case study System theories to health and social care In the context of system theory in relation to health and social care, it can be said that one of the main aims of these system theories is to provide safety to patient and improve their health. System theories offer a framework or a model which allows health care providers or people who Protects rights of vulnerable people. They mainly focus on improving quality of health of people. This framework has quality or feature of system thinking. It refers a discipline which allows social care providers to think critically any type of situation and take appropriate decision (Khatiban and et.al., 2016). It also allows them to see the whole system as well as relationship of parts rather than isolated parts. There are several system theories which can be applied by social care providers as per the situations. Some system theories include: Neuman’s system, Roger’s theory, Roy’s adaption model, Imogene king’s theory, Orem self care and Johnson system behavioural model. Rather than all these, there are some other theories which can also be applied in health care such as: cognitive, behavioural and social learning theory. Before applying and making use of theories it is important to understand current situation. In the case of Candice, it is stated that she is the eldest child in her family; She has 4 brothers and sisters with the age of 14 weeks to 12 years. Candice is a missed race as her father is black who left his children and wife or mother of Candice when she was 6 months old so, she has no memory of him. It is stated that she was often left at home alone at night in order to take care of her younger siblings. Her younger siblings have difficulties in learning and diabetes. All children are nit in normal situation. This also affects Candice and her mental health in a negative manner. At this age, she needs to be encouraged to learn and acquire knowledge (Memmott and 1
et.al., 2017). But rather this, she is being forced to take care. So, it is important to treat and improve quality of health of Candice by making an effective use of social or system theory. In the case of Candice, it can be said that Neuman system model can solve problems of Candice as she requires to get all her rights, right to living her life, right to get knowledge, right to play and openness to interact with society. This theory sees their patients or clients as an open system which responses to stressors is an environment. Some variables of patients may be related to physiological, socio cultural and spiritual. As per this model or theory, social care providers and nurses focus on assisting not only to patient but also to their family members and a group of people in order to maintain a maximum level of wellness. One of the main aims of this theory is to bring stability of patient system with the help of nursing appropriate interventions and reducing stressors (Akers and Jennings, 2016). In addition, it can be said that social learning theory can also be helpful in the case of Candice and her all family members. It has 4 main principles and factors by which any type of situation of patient can be solved out. All its elements, whose focus can improve quality of Candice include: attention, retention, reproduction and motivation. With the help of using attention element of this theory, social care provider can analyse the current situation of the patient and can identify a those factors which are being associated with het problem. After that, nurses need to focus on next element or principle which is retention. As per this element, nurses need to remember what they have paid attention to. As per this, nurses need to retain all those factors which can improve health of the patient and removing all those factors which are making worse to her health. After that, social care providers also require to focus on next element which is reproduction. According to this element, they reproduce the image which includes physical capabilities as well as self observation. Next and final element of this theory is motivation which is one of the main important principles (Sallam and Hashmi, 2019). As per this, nurses motivate patients towards those which can help them out in improving their health by providing all those elements which can satisfy their needs. Such as: providing financial help, improving diet, appropriate theory etc. Effectiveness of system theory System theories have several features and effectiveness by which social care providers can accomplish their main objectives and improve quality of health of people. System theory is considered as specialization of systems generalization of system science. It has an ability of self 2

regulating systems. It also has features of self correcting via feedback. Systems have structure which is defined by its parts and processes. It also has abilities of generalization. System theories have 2 main parts such as functional and structural. Both these elements have an effective relationship with each other’s which make nurses and social care providers able to improve health of people. One of the main an important feature of this theory is it treats or views every living organism as an open system. CONCLUSION From the above case of Jenny it has been summarized that system theories in nursing and healthcare played a vital role. Appropriate system theories as per the condition allow social care providers in solving problems of patients and improving their health. It also makes patients feel valued and comfortable. 3
