This research proposal aims to identify the roles played by leaders and line managers in talent management and development within Next plc, a UK-based fashion retailer. The study will explore the responsibilities of line managers and leaders, the significance of talent management and development, and the benefits of talent management. The research methodology will use a deductive approach, positivism philosophy, quantitative choice, survey strategy, and cross-sectional approach. Data will be collected through a questionnaire and secondary sources. The target audience includes managers, leaders, employees, researchers, and students.
