Introduction
The primary purpose of the paper is to identify and analyze the effective verbal
and non-verbal communication strategies adopted by the nurse to treat Mr.
Perkin. This analysis will be helpful for prospective nursing students or fellow
nursing students to develop their communication skills that will be helpful in the
future. Therefore, it will be helpful in making future plans to enhance various
communication strategies.

The importance of Nursing Progress Note and the use and need of grief and loss
communication framework in Mr. Burnum Perkin’s transition care.

Analysis of Verbal communication strategies
adopted by the nurse
Mr. Perkin is given a proper explanation regarding the immediate
care needed

The nurse makes use of credible, consistent, concise and clear
words to communicate with the patient (Pehrson et al., 2016)

carefully
