Introduction
With the globalisation and the 2008 recessions, there have been various changes in the way
people think and work. With the recessions slowly going away from the leading economies of
the World, UK has slowly begun to find its pathway back to benefit. But with the decline in
sales as well as a change in how people view housing sector. It is impossible to overlook that
housing sector even today faces some basic problems. These problems have been illustrated
with details in the following few paragraphs and the necessary changes that can improve the
situation are also illustrated below with viable reasons.
Main Body
Organizational management
In the aspect of how organisational management is defined in business terms, it is most often
linked to companies and large organisations engaged in producing tangible [products or
creating services. In the Housing sector as well, it is required that the properties and houses
built are fully managed from the decision of creating the house and then building and selling
it. There is a need to underpants that in the housing’s organisation management system in the
UK are the Association of Residential Lettering Agents which hold members who are part of
the community and are wither landlords or tenants and are following the guidelines set by
them. It is thus needed to understand that the ARMA is another UK association which
handles the leased properties in UK. There are also divisions within the organisations which
are usually created by builders and the company (Golland, 2004).

Stakeholders
There are a number of Stakeholders in the UK housing industry and the main stakeholders are
the builders and the Government. In order to build a home a land is required and in most
cases the smaller organisations will find the steps to acquire or buy land form land owners but
in case of large scale projects direct dealing with the Government is necessary to create a
better opportunity for the UK. There are definitely a number of stakeholders who are
associated with the building of anything serious. There is a number of stakeholders required
in such a formal meeting, like the local authorities, the members of the organisation handling
the building, the authorities within the administrative system, the funding team and the
shareholders in the project, there is also an important part for the residents as well as the
buyers (Kelly, 2007)
On-going programs
Homelessness and a lack to find a suitable home have been assessed as an important aspect of
living within the UK. There are also a large number of people who are currently in the need
of home as they spend nights homeless. This is where the Government has created a more
targeted approach with the Housing sector. There are various methods that are taken by the
government to ensure that the approach towards owning a home is easy and the Government
help with acquiring deposit money. They also provide easy loans with low interest for the

total cost which is replayed through easy loans afterwards (Cave, 2007).
M&E methodology review
M&E or monitoring and Evaluation is a method that is used by various government an d the
officials to understand the needs of the society and people, make service delivery better and

quicker and also to understand the best way to allocate the funds that are available for the
project. There is also the way in M&E method to look back on the mistakes made, understand
what went wrong and also to create a better accountability for the investors. In order to gather
the best possible solution, the method uses participation from different sectors, indication of
performances, approach through a more logical report as well as a better appraisal method
which is also faster. In this case the Housing industry needs the active participation from the
Government as well as builders; to create a believable and actionable plan to integrate the
different values are needed (Henderson, 2007).
Challenges
The most important challenges in the UK housing sector are – Firstly, the lack of proper
homes for the increasing population. With the native population, there are also a good
number of people are in UK, who have shifted to UK for job or immigration purpose and are
staying there for business. These people along with the people living below the ideal standard

Initiatives for improvement

adequate measures to tackle the need of homes were not anticipated early on. The lack of
supply of homes, the sudden economic downturn caused a number of people to lose jobs and
become homeless. This is a problem that has to be addresses as easily as possible to ensure
that the people are not suffering. The Government has encouraged builders and developers to

create more housing projects. They have been provided easy ways to acquire land and buy it,
so that they are able to buy their homes or even get a property through the council or housing
associations (Kelly, 2007).
Conclusion
UK’s housing market has seen a sudden surge in the number of households created and a
massive gap in the number of houses built. This has made it stressful for people to find
homes. In order to help the people in the UK find their residences and relate to the economy,
it is imperative that the Government and the stakeholders are aware of the different decisions
that are taken by the government to improve the status of the Housing department.
