INTRODUCTION
Tourism destination is defined as the place that attracts more customers and provide them
unique and better experience. There are various components of tourism destination such as
attraction, accommodation, activities, amenities and accessibilities. It is important to have social,
cultural and ecological awareness regarding the tourism destination. In this report London is the
city destination that is taken into consideration. This essay covers social, cultural as well as
ecological awareness that enhances popularity and attraction on destination.
TASK
Tourism destination is defined as the place as well as area that is heavily relies on economic
benefits of tourism. Tourism destination can be as large as city that attract large number of
travellers or tourists because they have accessibility of various facilities such as accommodation,
food and drink, attractive places and transportation facilities. London is the world’s leading
tourism destination as well as attraction of large number of tourists (Dwyer, and Čavlek, 2019).
As per the records of 2018, London city attracted 20.42 million in international visitors that
make it world’s most visited place in terms of international visits. There are various fascinating
collection of nightclubs, restaurants and bars that provides greater experience to the tourists.
Along with that in London city various attractive places and things that attracts large number of
visitors across the world such as historical attraction like Tower of London, Big Ben, Tower
Bridge, grand shopping experience from King’s Road, Bond Street and Carnaby as well as its
outstanding food. Along with that, London has green sites like Queen’s Park, Hyde Park and it is
full of fair culturally diverse, excited theatre scenes and others things that make it different from
other destinations. London is the package of natural and exciting things that provides intensive
experience to visitors that make them feel that they will come again to explore different places.
Tourism as well as overnight time economy contributes 36 billion ponds every year to the
London economy and provide employment to the 70,000 people.
Social awareness is defined as the ability to take perspective as well as emphasize with
others and including those who come from different or diverse background and culture (Mason,
2017). There are various social factors that make London more attractive and special tourism
destination for visitors. London preserves the local culture and heritage, provision of social
services, commercialisation of art and culture and revitalisation of customs and art forms that

make it more social and make visitors interested to understand these things for enhance their
social awareness. Various visitors or tourists come to London for experiencing outstanding
cultural offerings, world-class museums, nightlife, history and heritage, parks and waterways.
Along with that, visitors come London to explore variety and unique neighbourhood and
experience retail and food offerings. Exploration of all these places or things enhances their
social awareness regarding the London (McKercher, 2020). Visitors experience London’s
diversity and richness of history, culture, heritage, open space, architect and other things that
make then excited to visit multiple time that enhances social awareness of London and make it
popular in the world.

income of city in specific field. London has attracted record-breaking visitors’ science hosting
Olympic and Pyramid games in the year of 2012 that contributes in the economy of London city.
Tourism in London provides employment opportunities to every stage of people in various field
such as management in restaurants, venues, shops and hotels. Tourism plays important role in the
development of London city infrastructure heritages, parks and other destinations and this sector
provides employment to 70,000 people and contributes in 36 billion pounds to the London
economy (Soliman, 2021). There are various visitors who come again and again for the purpose
of business, conferences, live and study purposes. All this make the London getaway to
encourage more visitors to explore different countries as well that spends the economic benefits
from the tourism. By the 2025, 40.4 billion visitors inject 22 billion ponds in a year to the
London economy. As UK tourism industry generated 9 percent of national GDP and contributes
127 billion pounds in GVA of economy. London and Partners 2016 London visitor survey has

captured that more than 4000 respondents across 11 markets and found that 79persent of visitors
are fully satisfied with their stay in London and exploring here. All these factual data clears that
tourism plays important role in the growth and development of economic aspects of London and
enhances its economic awareness.

Ecological awareness is defined as the recognition of ideas, opinions and values regarding the
places of human life and development. London is the large city destination that put hard efforts
towards creating sustainable options for visitors. As tourism can cause the pollution to the other
industry in the form of air pollution, solid waste and littering, noise and other constraints that
impacts health and well-being of person. It is important to aware regarding these aspects and take
efficient actions to make tourism destination natural and harmless that attract more visitors.
London has provided option to the travellers to take incredible experience in environment-
friendly places such as parks and green places. As environment is the major aspect of tourism
destination, while the preservation and conservation of environment bring positive image of
destination city such as London (Tribe, 2020). London tourism destination take various serious
initiatives and find out alternative approaches to promote the natural environment and allow to
live in harmony with nature. London makes its ecological destinations such as parks more
attractive as well as enhances awareness among visitors regarding the importance of ecological
aspects.

As per the above report it can be concluded that tourism destinations are the places that
provides various facilities to visitors and attract them that enhances city’s economic conditions.

It is important for the destination to having awareness regarding the ecological, social and
economic aspects in efficient that helps to conduct tourism activities properly and take efficient
decisions.
