ASSESSMENT TASK
This assessment task comprises of two sections.
In the first section, develop a project communication plan for your project of choice. In the second section,
answer a series of questions, referring to your project, regarding project execution and evaluation.
SECTION 1 - PROJECT COMMUNICATION AND INFORMATION PLAN
1.Communication Management Approach
Project communication management is an important aspect of project management. The
communication management approach includes processes that ensure appropriate and
timely planning, creation, collection, retrieval, storage, monitoring, control and ultimate
disposition of project information. For the project of the new Royal Adelaide Hospital, the
information and communication plan has been developed by listing the need for the
project’s communication. Also, for the development of this communication plan defining the
purpose, choosing the communication method, and identify the stakeholders.
The project sponsors are mainly consulted for the development of the plan as they are
having the role of people resource and monetary. They can also set an overall scope of the
project that is important.
The main communication constraint that considered is communication technology as it is
not assured that the selected technology will be always available.
The main communication requirement that has been considered is the formal
communication process, knowing the audience and properly performing the non-verbal
communication.

3.Communication methods, processes and technology
For an effective type of communication, a project progress report can be utilized.
Also, ensuring a weekly meeting is another important communication method. Emails and
video conferencing are a good option for long-distance communication.
For the communication process, a formal way will be used.
The main communication technologies that will be used are cell phone devices,
faxes, video conferencing, and social networking.
