INTRODUCTIONBusiness e environment consist with the entire macro and micro environmentalcomponents. These factors have largely influenced the business activities and function (Chow,and et.al.,2012).In this project report the impact of macro and micro environmental factor hasbeen addressed with respect of Mark & Spencer’s. Further, various organization such as private,public and nongovernmental organization’s scope, size, purpose and structure has been alsodiscussed in this report in order to understand the business environment. The major objective ofthis project is to understand the impact of various environmental components on the businessactivities and functions. In addition to this internal and external analysis of business organizationhas been also addressed in this report.PART 1P1,P2, M2 converted in PPTP3As per the above discussion it has been ascertained that Mark & Spencer is the worldfamous retail outlet which have large numbers of stores in the various countries in the world. Ithave large numbers of employees whose gives continues efforts to achieve the organizationobjective (Botha, Kourie and Snyman, 2014). It major aim is to render is to an innovative andcreative product and services to its customers and earn the highest profitability. Further it isgiving continuous effective efforts in order to gain the competitive advantage in the market. Inaddition to this its wants to acquire large market share. In order to achieve the entire objective ofcited venture there have various functional departments such as finance, marketing, humanresources, administration and production. This all department have interconnection with eachother because all these department have common target. These all department gives their bestefforts to achieve company objective.Human resource department have major responsibility to hire an skilled workforce andmanage them in such manner so as they can achieve the company objective. Further recruitmentand selection is an important activity to hire quality and talented employees in the organization.By use of training and development Program Company can increase the skills and efficiency ofpersonnel’s so as they can perform their job and responsibility in an effective manner (Zhang,and Huang, 2012). Human resources management should adopt effective motivation techniquesso as employees can inspire and encourage for higher performance and take initiative for higherresponsibility. This department have linked with the finance department because financedepartment have major duty to prepare the report of financial transaction and income andoutcome statements. The profit can earn by company to sell the product and services so sellingactivity in depend on the employees. It can say that all department are interlinked with eachother.
On the other hand production department of company have also relation with the humanresource department because training n d development program can organize by the humanresource department. Further administration and manufacturing department are also connectedwith each other. Manufacturing department have main duty to produce the cloths and otherproducts of cited venture.As per the discussion it can be ascertained that all department of Mark &Spencer havemain objective to render the excellent quality product and services to customers so as these allfunction have collectively perform their own different roles and responsibility (Cai and Yang,2014). These all functions have major aim to achieve venture’s goals so that they collectivelyperform their job at workplace.Organization structure has also largely connected with each other because structuredefines that how roles and responsibility are settled in the each department of the company. Soeach department or functions of Mark &Spencer have settled according to their liability andauthority (TEbert and et.al., 2014). As per the previous discussion it has cleared that companyhave adopted the horizontal organization structure so each department has arranged in the equalmanner they has not any vertical system between them. With assistance of this horizontalorganizational structure, each department of company has arranged in an equal manner.Employees are allows to share their views and suggestions with the management and there hasopen communication between all department. In this organizational structure there have few orno levels of middle management between staff and executives.M2As per the above discussion it has been ascertained that there have various functions inthe Mark& Spencer’s such as marketing, finance, human resources, administrations, productionand manufacturing etc. These all department have interlinked with each other and collectivelyperform their roles and responsibility to achieve company objective. Further these all departmenthave their own roles and responsibility towards business objective so as they gives their bestefforts to achieve this target. In this interconnection between various departments, there havevarious benefits for company. These advantages are as follows-Achieve target within a time period- By this interconnection between various functionsof Mark &Spencer, the major advantage is to achieve the predetermined target within atime period. In the firm, when all functions are collectively work together so they canshare their personal views and suggestion with each other (Waithaka and Ngugi, 2013).Through this they can coordinate and support to each other and attain the determinedtarget within a given time period.Effective productivity- In the organization when all functional department works in acollective manner so as they can able to achieve the predetermined target within aspecific time period. Further with assistance of this, they can able to perform their joband responsibility in an effective manner.
