the future of energy sector. Besides, the company is also performance driven and invests in the
people (adnoc.ae 2019). Unlike its competitors, ADNOC helps in creating rewarding work
ambience where the individuals are not only valued for contributions but also ideas thereby
providing them with opportunities in realizing the full potential. ADNOC not only offer non
technical and technical career options for the experienced professionals but also the UAE

The aspect of positioning of the company can be explained with the help of the stages of
lifecycle (Illés, Hurt and Dunay 2015):
Growth: The growth stage needs funding for the launch of the marketing campaign and
for the continuous investment in the plant, property and equipment for facilitating growth
demanded by market. The industry requires more standardization of product at this particular
stage that not only encourages the economies of the scale and facilitates development of
production efficiency. For example, the computer industry represents an example with longer
growth stage due to the constant upgrades in services, hardware, features and the add-on
products.
Maturity: Here firms competes on the basis of quality for separating the product from
the other lower cost offerings or might try out a lower cost or pricing strategy for increasing the
volume of the sales and thereby making profit from the inventory turnover. It is the stage where

the firm possesses excess cash for paying the dividends to the shareholders. For example,
laundry detergents represent the examples of the mature products.
Decline: This is the most inevitable stage in the industry that a firm goes through. This
particular stage appears when newer innovation or the technological changes have caused
industry in becoming obsolete and the sales to suffer. At this particular stage, sales decreases at
accelerating rate.
3. The Significance of Tight and Loose Labor Market Conditions
Tight labor market conditions occur when there is a shortage in skills and knowledge in
respect to the labor market. On the other hand, loose labor market conditions results from the
surplus and knowledge of the skills that are considered useful for fitting into the available roles.
Tightening and loosening of the labor market have a strong significance. Loose labor market
ensures undertaking an effective recruitment process and the retention amongst employees
within competitive market sector since there is a surplus in the labor supply. The tight labor
market on the other hand, implies fierce competition amongst the talented and the skilled labors
