INTRODUCTION
Diana Frances Spencer also known as Princess Diana was the first wife of the Prince Charles, the
Prince of Wales. She gave birth to Prince Harry as well as Prince William. Princess Diana was
renowned as an international icon owing to her glamour as well as pro-activism. During her
whole life, she earned immense popularity as well as an unprecedented public scrutiny,
exacerbated by her tumultuous private life (Epis, 2020). She was known to be extremely talented
in fields like sports, music and dance. Within the year 1978, Princess Diana got shifted to
London whereby she lived with her flat mates as well as did a number of low paying jobs.
Family history of a significant public person (Princess Diana)
The family history of royal families and significant public persons like Princess Diana are looked
upon by people with respect and regards (Aldriani, 2019). Many people even tend to take
inspiration from the work done by the members of royal families. In this relation, the family
history of Princess Diana is presented as underneath:-
John Spencer, Diana's Father
Princess Diana’s father used to be referred to as Viscount Althorp till the time he was
awarded with the title of 8th Earl Spencer after the death of his father during the year 1975.
Diana’s father was also acknowledged to be the member of House of Lords. After divorcing
Frances, he got married again to Raine who was the Countess of Dartmouth during the year
1876. John Spencer died at the age of 87 during the Oct of 2016.
Frances Shand Kydd, Diana's mother
The name given at birth to Diana’s mother was Frances Ruth Roche. She was born to Maurice
Roche who was the 4th Baron Fermoy and also a very close peer of King George VI. Post
divorcing her husband during the year 1969, she got married again to Peter Shand Kydd late in
that year only (Aldriani, 2019). She spent the last some year of her life executing the charity
work of Roman Catholic.
Lady Sarah McCorquodale, Diana's eldest sister
Sarah is the eldest child of Frances and John Spencer. She was Diana’s eldest sister who was
acknowledged to be dating Prince Charles prior to Princess Diana. However, she later got
married to Neil Edmund McCorquodale (Roberts, 2020). They gave birth to 3 kids who are
namely George Edmund, Emily Jane and Celia Rose McCorquodale.
