This study provides a detailed report on the management of environmental practices during the demolition of Yorkshire brewery to create space for high-rise construction while retaining the heritage of surrounding buildings. It discusses the policies of the demolition company, stakeholders involved, environmental issues, and waste management practices.

Introduction
In simple terms, demolition can be defined as taking out of any load-supporting structural
element or wrecking of a building. Today the demolition industries have become very
sophisticated hence requires competence and expertise from the involved individuals. There has
been some misconception which is very popular that demolitions are simply knocking a structure
down before having all the debris hauled to a landfill (Akanni, Oke and Akpomiemie 2015). This

Public awareness creation: Educating the public on their role of avoiding sites perceived to be
dangerous during the demolition exercise. This goes alongside reporting cases of demolition

exercises that are not in compliance with the ISO14001. This can be facilitated by the use of the
posters.
Political goodwill: This includes enactments of the strict rules concerning environmental
conservation to monitor as well as regulate the exercises of the demolition
Establishment of a specific site for landfill disposal: There will need to secure a specific point
that has the recommended dimensions as per the Victoria policies of the environmental
management. The area should be far away from the sensitive areas like the residential places,
hospitals among other and generally be in compliance with the ISO 14001(Tabassi et al 2016).

Conclusion
The processes of demolition of Yorkshire brewery (14-21 Robert Street Collingwood) has been
captured in a procedural manner in line with the regulations that are stipulated by various
environmental bodies including ISO 14001.aAlthough the focus of the paper was on the
demolition of Yorkshire brewery (14-21 Robert Street Collingwood) while considering the
impacts of the exercise to the environment, the provision of the solution was in context with the
Australian(Victoria State) Provisions.
