INTRODUCTION
ICT stands for communication technology which is an extension of term information
technology and is more focused upon role of communication and integration of
telecommunication. This contains majorly those things which are related to communication and
there advances. Such projects are to be managed by the manager responsible for providing
direction to the team working upon it. This project is going to be based upon tasks in which
various questions has been asked and answer is required to be given for it. Things to be covered
are management of project and role of ICT project manager. Then further performance plan and
various other things are going to be covered.

Outline at least two project management methodologies.
Much business uses the water fall method because it is one of the simplest way to plan a
project and task flow down the list in sequential order just like waterfall. This is an very basic
system in which one step is completed before starting another or the next step. Managers of an
organization find this system to be very easy in terms of implementation (Ahmad, Azhar and
Chowdhury, 2019). Lot of managers uses the waterfall system majorly in software development
industries. There are certain general concepts that have to be used in this methodology and they
are:
Specification of Consumer Requirements
Concept, Design, and Planning
Creation of a Physical Product (Construction, Coding, etc.)
Integration into Current Systems
Validation (Testing, Debugging, etc.)
Product Installation
Ongoing Maintenance
CPM Project methodology This is the methodology that is based upon project management and has
been created for the benefit of such process. It can be understood through example like construction
workers can only put all things like washbasin, toilet and other things once electricians have fitted pipe
through walls. This example explains that CPM management can be used for both essential and non-
essential task. They are only required to put chain of process in right path. Also non - essential task
has a benefit that they can be completed in any time at normal pace despite of work changes.

Outline the role of an ICT project manager.
Project manager has an very important role to play that is it helps in planning, executing,
monitoring, controlling and closing project is done by them. They have accountability of the
project and is responsible for scope, coordination of team, resource and success of the project.
Also responsibility of failures has to be taken by them.
Identify at least three problem-solving tools and techniques that can be used to assist with
business process reengineering.
Business process reengineering includes that kind of design which has core process of
business that has dramatic improvements in the productive, cycle, time and quality. In the
business process reengineering organization starts from zero and rethinks upon every aspect of
business and try to deliver more value to customers. This has to be adopted as a new system
which has to be focused upon customer needs (Bresciani, Ferraris and Del Giudice, 2018). This
is done by reduction of complex process and eliminating of unproductive activities in two key
areas. First, they redesign functional organizations into cross-functional teams. Second, they use
technology to improve data dissemination and decision making. Organization uses this for
following purposes.
Reduce costs and cycle times. Business Process Reengineering reduces costs and cycle times by
eliminating unproductive activities and the employees who perform them. Reorganization by
teams decreases the need for management layers, accelerates information flows and eliminates
the errors and rework caused by multiple handoffs.
Improve quality. Business Process Reengineering improves quality by reducing the
fragmentation of work and establishing clear ownership of processes. Workers gain
responsibility for their output and can measure their performance based on prompt feedback.
Identify at least three ICT process models and describe how they are used.
V Model
This model has to be represented over the development process and it is considered to be
an extension of waterfall model. As per this model a V shape process has to be followed after
coding phase which gives a shape of V. Also this model demonstrates the relationship in each
step of the project. Developing a cycle and testing phase. In this model horizontal axes represent
