(TPB), one of the most well pirated sites for music. The report commences with the analysis of

1. Appropriate Analysis of the Case and Identification of the Stakeholder:
The report revolves around the case study of The Pirate Bay (TPB) that is considered one
of the well known and popular content and pirated music sites that offers free access to the
millions of the copyrighted songs, television shows, Hollywood movies and the video games
(Poort et al. 2014). In spite of this, TPB have experienced repetitive legal battles for a shut down.
Authorities, who have been pursuing TPB, felt that in spite of involving in a never ending battle,
the site somehow manages reappearance.
Besides, the emergence of internet have made it difficult for The Pirate Bay (TPB) to
survive not only due to the various enforcement actions but also the introduction of the newer
mobile and the wireless technologies that enabled streaming of higher quality of content for a
smaller fee. TPB however operated as the part of the European political and social movement
that opposed the copyright aspect and demanded that the music, TV shows, videos and the other
digital content remains unrestricted and free (Larsson 2013). TPB neither operate a database of
the copyrighted content neither it operates network nor does it own, create or distribute any kind
of software. The site simply claims to be a search engine that provides pointers to an existing
P2P network which it itself do not control. TPB claimed to be a commercial enterprise that
claimed never to violate the copy right laws and considered advertising as the key revenue
source.
In spite of this, the Swedish Court, declared the founders guilty of copyright infringement
and sentenced them to prison. Besides, US government has also pressurized Swedish government
for strengthening the copyright laws for discouraging rampant downloading. The result was that
TPB neither got effected by lawsuits, neither did it pay fines and shifted its stints to the Finland,
