INTRODUCTION
Equality and diversity has been termed as the important aspects which is promoting the
equality and level of opportunity having the level of diversity. This provides the level of
opportunity to each individual in order to achieve the level of potentiality which is free from
prejudice and discrimination. In the country like united kingdom there are existence of various
laws to have proper promotion in equality ans diversity belonging to the legal consideration. The
diverse level of environment is place of various values as per the background of individual,
knowledge and skills with experience and focus, This will help as in creating the positive,
productive and effective internal and external level of working environment.
TASK 1
P1 Research background.
Many companies are having the increase level of human resource management activities
in order to have proper level of development of different strategies which are related to equality
and diversity. This helps in building the forward thought process in business along with proper
guidance of legals communication in order to have proper level of improvement in
productiveness of corporate along with development opportunities of business ans
competitiveness. ASDA have implementation of various strategies in order to have proper
diversity and equality in development of mutual level of understanding which makes the
company more effective in having proper understanding of different pros and cons of the cultural
differences.
Aim
To study the impacts of various diversity and equality (D&E) of business on employee in
providing competitive edge in market- A case study on ASDA.
Objective
 To study the impacts of diversity and equality on performance of employees in ASDA.
 To evaluate the various strategies used by the company in promoting the level of (D&E).
 To determine the various challenges faced by company in implementation of (D&E) for
development in corporate structure.

P2 Project management plan
Cost- It is very important element of a efficient project management plan because it describe the
overall cost that are used for completing the tasks on time. To fulfil the research task and
advantage to correct and relevant subject matter in specific time the investigator will require £
7000. Moreover, the company needs to £ 50000 for conducting different activities such as
investment, employee training, R&D cost, for changes implementation, resource for training and
development etc
Scope- Scope decide the future opportunities for both researchers as well as project managers .
This will help to researchers at a great extent to gain a knowledge about the different methods of
recruitment and selection along with the benefits and drawbacks. Also, beneficial for the
manager to hire or select the appropriate candidate by enhancing the HR practices it has wider
scope in future.
Quality- It requires execution of project activities as well as research with reliability,
measurability and excellence performance. It helps researcher to collect the valuable information
through the various methods like questionnaire. Also, a project manager take advantages of
proper qualitative data that are collected by investigator which helps in performing the project
task on time in a systematic manner.
Risk- Risk is an important factor that are occurs in every kind of activities or tasks. At a time of
conducting research, investigator suffering from lack of time and resources this will lead in delay
to completing the tasks on time . As well as the manager faces the risk of inappropriate data's and
information this results in unsystematic or inappropriate implementation of project activities.
Time- Time is considered as a important factor to prepare the time schedule of each activities of
project that helps in finishing all tasks in specified time frame. A researcher will require 3
months for appropriate data collection. Whereas, for completing the project activities as well as
implementing the HR practices a company's manager require 10 weeks

Communicate- Interaction between employees, manager as well as clients are needed to
complete their own tasks on time. There are several mediums of communication that are used by
the researchers to communicate with clients such as emails and telephones (Fletcher, 2017).
Although, a manager also needs to communicate with their team member for implementing the
changes in HR practices by using this channels to convey the messages and informations
regarding the project activities.
Resources- To completing the tasks on time, resources such as financial, technological and
human resources etc. plays a crucial role in facilitating better recruitment, selection and training
practices . These are required for researcher to complete the research activities as well as collect
accurate informations within the period of time. Although, it is useful for the company to
perform the project activities on time by using the latest techniques and talented employees.
P3 Gantt chart and breakdown structure
Work breakdown structure: It is a process that outlines the whole projects and break
down in smaller sections to manage all the activities in a proper manner. This structure is also
known as “deliverable oriented hierarchical”. The decomposition work should be divided into
sub sections which to be executed by project team. This will help researchers to determine the
actual time for start and finish the activities. Moreover, it helps manager to complete the project
activities effectively and efficiently.

Gantt chart: It is graphical representation of project schedule and it display the start and finish
dates of various factors including resources, tasks etc. Gantt chart is widely in use for project
management to plan a project and define the sequences and duration of activities that should be
required forcomplete a task in a specified time duration . This will help the investigator to carry
out tasks and activities in a prescribed manner. As well as helps manager by facilitating proper
investigation regarding the resource requirement for completing the research tasks on time.

Researchers are liable to conduct a small scale research by using the various methods of data
collection for completing the project in an effective and systematic way. Information can be
gathered from the different sources that are described as follows:
Methods of data collection
Data collection is a process of collecting informations from the applicable sources to find
out the answer of research difficulty, hypothetical survey as well as measure the effect. It can be
divided in two categories that are as follows:
 Primary source of data collection:- Informations that are collected for the first time or
can say that first hand data's are used to meet the specific aim of the project. Researchers
gathered information through the interview, survey, observations as well as questionnaire
etc. are considered as a primary data collection method.
 Secondary source of data collection:- This is a that kind of data collection method
which has already been published in journals, newspapers, magazines, books, and
internet. Secondary data collection method is used to increase the validity as well as
reliability of research. This is the most effective tool to collect the data in which

information is collected by third party. Researchers studied those collected data's and
make their own research.
Methods of research
To collect the primary data a researcher use two methods for collecting the relevant, fresh
as well as useful informations. That can be described as:
 Qualitative methods:- This do not involve the numbers or quantity measurements and
closely associated with feelings, emotions, words etc. that elements are called non-
quantifiable. The aim of qualitative method is to ensure the depth understanding about the
research, it includes the open-ended questions in interview and questionnaire method.
 Quantitative methods:- This method includes the mathematical calculation that includes
correlation, regression, mean, mode, median etc. This is inexpensive to use and most
appropriate for shorter period of time and also it is easy to form the comparisons of all
findings .
Sample size
It is a act of choosing the number of observations in a statistical sampling that is to form
illation about a total population from a sample. Sample size is used to determine on the basis of
cost, time and suitability of data collection as well as ascertain the number of answerer that are

advantage. There are some recommendations that should be given to the manager of the
company which are as follows:
The company should have the proper implementation of the effective leadership along with
employees in order to have the setup as the appropriate level of examples in understanding the
business perspective.
The company should have proper level of understanding in making the decision in proper
manner at the approprite4 sharing level. The company should perform proper planning in having
differentiated ways. The company should make the ethical difference and cultural level is most
challenging aspects.
The company tends to the promotion along with increase in level of flexibility hours in order to
have the benefit of employees in the company while making the major level of changes which
created the effective in company efficiently.
P7 Reflection
While completing the project activities, it helps me a lot to identify my own skills, abilities,
strengths, weaknesses, decision making, problem solving, patience etc. Strength are identifying
during the undertaking of this research that are related to time management, decision making
ability etc. This helps in completing the tasks within time duration as well as towards
understanding the purpose of this project in a systematic way. In addition, I also able to analyse
my weaknesses which were issued at a time of collecting data's from respondents and
communicating with customers as well as clients. This weaknesses will converted into strengths
when I select the right, skilful and knowledgable persons and properly communicate the
informations with clients and customers that helps in managing the project in a significant
manner.
During the project research I have learned investigation skills that includes the time
management, data collection, analysis of data, filling questionnaire and interpret those data's.
This skills will assist me a lot in future for accomplishing and conducting the another research
activity. As well as I have experience in that work it will helps in completing other tasks within
the time frame. It will raise my ability towards further assignments as a positive valuation in the
market. Improvements in my skills will help to develop my carrier options as well as meeting the
competitive needs and take advantages by given best results. Although I understood about the

recruitment, selection as well as training human resource practices and how will impacts on
organization at a time of enhancement in these practices. As well as , this will able to meet the
international requirements of the customers and able to take a competitive advantages in
competition world.
The above all reflection is related to my hard work. In addition, research has motivated
me to complete the tasks on time that helps in attainment of company's objectives. Although, this
topic has many interesting facts and knowledges so I motivated myself to accomplish the tasks in
effective and efficient manner. It has directly or indirectly encouraged me to complete this
assignments with quality and relevant informations.
