Business communication is referred to as the expression, channelization, and exchange of
ideas in commerce and industry. With the increased globalization and technological
innovations, there has been significant progress in the information and communication
technologies, and thus the communication processes in modern organizations. The following
memo is aimed at analysing the primary factors that impact modern organizational
communications.
One of the prime factors that impact the communications at the workplace today is the nature
of the organization of being culturally diverse. The large corporations and multinational
companies aim at developing culturally diverse workplaces where people belonging to
different cultural, ethnic and national backgrounds interact with each other for the
advancement of the business functions (Christensen and Nilsson, 2018). In the wake of
globalized workplaces, there are chances of misunderstanding and wrong interpretation of the
messages among the members in addition to the problems in the resolution of conflicts
because of language and cultural barriers.
Another factor that has deeply influenced today's workplaces is the technology in the
communication processes. With the enhancement in the innovations, organizational
communications have become quick and flexible. One of the facets of technological
innovations is the establishments of virtual communication setup in the entities in order to
connect a wide range of team members across the globe irrespective of time and distance
(Ivanovski and Gruevski, 2014). The communications are done with the aid of video
conferencing and enable collaboration with an overall reduction in the cost and effort in the
