INTRODUCTIONManagement and operations are the important part of business. The success and growthof organisation is totally dependents on the management and operational system. Operation management is the important activity which have great impact on thequality of product and services delivered by organisation. However, effective operationalmanagement system assists enterprise in reducing wastage that occurs during operationalprocesses.The report has focus on comparing the different roles and characteristics of leader incontext of Marks and Spencer (M&S). It also emphasises on identifying the way role of leaderand function of manager can be applied in different situations.
