Operational management can be termed as the
process of planning, organizing and supervising the
production, manufacturing of the product. It
ensures that the organization successfully turned its
input in output in an efficient manner. Operational
management is concerned with converting material
and labor force into goods in efficient manner in
order to maximize the profitability of Unilever Ltd.
There are various approaches to operational
management. Some of them are:

Six-Sigma approach:
It is the quality control methodology which is adopted in operational management in
order to increase the quality of the produced goods. This method is used to detect the defects
in the manufacturing and operational process.
Total quality management:
It can be defined as the continuous efforts by the management and employee of Unilever
Ltd in order to gain the long-term customer satisfaction and customer loyalty towards the firm.
