The differences and comparison between roles and characteristics of leader and manger is detailed with the help of leadership theories and management functions which enables to know more about efficiency in operations management. Application of theories in situational context is detailed with their importances and the factors that are influencing it externally and internally.P1 Compare role and characteristics of leader and manager The leader can be defined as a person, who influences group of other person, teams, orindividuals to perform for attaining particular task by motivating them (Slack 2015). Whereas,manager of Amazon controls, coordinates as well as directs the activities of individuals or groupby instructing and managing them for the attainment of objectives of Amazon.
