INTRODUCTIONBusiness is considered as complex system that are involved in complex activities that requires effective planning and supervision. Operation management is defined as managerial activity that includes designing as well as controlling procedures of production and operation. It also involves redesigning of operational system. The objective of operational management is to assist business entity in increasing its operational efficiency and enhancing production capacity. Operational management is more concerned with converting input into desired output. It emphasizes on various facets of planning, management of system right from manufacturing of products and services to their delivery.The report have focus on developing understanding about the concept as well as importance of operation management in the context of Marks and spencer. The report will highlight the various approaches of operation management that can be used by firm for making improvement in various activities and procedures.TASK 1P1 Defining and comparing the different roles and characteristics of leader as well as manager. So it is required by Human resource management and team leader in Marks and Spenser to formulate effective strategies and policies in order to manage people in organization in effective as well as systematic manner. It is very essential for them to fulfill their roles and responsibilities in a company. As this will help them in maintaining their position and fostering career growth. For instance, In case of marks and Spenser the company is facing the significationas well as major issue related to high employee turnover rate and other problem related to improving the quality of products as well as services.
