It was formed on 5thJuly 1948 around 71 years ago with all its jurisdiction in England and headquartered at Richmond House, London, England. It provides healthcare for each of the citizens of UK that isbased on their needs for healthcare rather than their capability to pay for this. It is overseen by the department of health and social care and it is funded primarily by the government funding. TASK 2 Organisational structure of NHS and use of structure for effective functioning of organisation by considering effects of Brexit NHS is using a hierarchical structure which can be determined as flat organisation structure. The structure withfew layers or sometimes only one layer of managementcan be known as flat organisational structure. It is such a type of organisational level with either no involvement of managers or only few managers are being involvedwhich have some advantages and some disadvantages too. In this structure employee involvement is being promoted by decentralisation ofprocess of making decisionswith elevating the levels of responsibilities of employees. This organisational structure of NHS can be used for effective functioning of organisation by several ways and considering Brexit effects. These uses involve cost efficient technique, promotes faster decision making, requires less supervision and dominance and it allows clear communication(French, 2015). ď‚·It is cost efficient: In a flat organisational structure there are few number of manager layer between executives and staff which can help to save the money which is being paid to managers for their work. In a position of Brexit, NHS will face some issues of funding which can result in shortage of funds so this structure allows to reduce the expenses of the organisation by decreasing the number of mediators between executives and staff. By this manner this structure can be used for effective working of the organisation(Samson, Donnet and Daft, 2018). ď‚·Promotes faster decision making: It is a major advantage in flat organisational structure as it promotesless decision making issues as very less people are to be considered for the decisions by allowing the management for the purpose to provide rapid response to any issue or concern. In the implementation of Brexit, decision making play a major role in effective functioning of NHS. As it creates a direct line between the executives and employees it is easier for the organisation to determine the issues and make quick decisions(Calvo-Mora and et.al., 2016). ď‚·Requireslessdominanceandsupervision:Byprovidingmoreresponsibilitiesto employees, they will be able to make decisions for their work and work effectively and efficiently. NHS can work effectively by this structure and delegates responsibilities as it 2

TASK 3 Modern Management approach which can be used by an organisation in imminent of Brexit. There areseveral approaches formanagement which can be undertaken by NHS that includes situational approach, systems approach and contingency approach. The approach which could be appropriate for NHS is situational approachwhich could be used by anorganisation in Brexit imminent. There are four styles through which situational approach is implemented which includes directing, delegating, supporting and coaching. One style is being opted by the leader according to the situation and level of readiness of the followers for the purpose of particular style of leadership. This approach can help NHS in recognising the need for flexibility, creating a comfortable environment for employees, taking different development phases into account and it increases the awareness of leader(Gregory, 2016). Situational approach can help NHS in recognising the need of flexibility by creating an environment where people can be encourage for cominghead first andsharingso that everyone can find a way towards success. This approach also help in creating a comfortable environment for workers as situational leadership creates such kind ofstyle which is being based on the readiness level of their team or their needs. This allows the leader to work effectively by motivating his employees in that manner which matches their wants by providing each of them a better chance which they deserve.By using this approach NHS can function in Brexit imminent more fluently. TASK 4 Strategic environmental analysis of EMA witha current innovative strategic objective in the result of Brexit Strategic environmental analysis of NHS can be proceeded with the help of PEST factors which includes political, economic, social and technological(Boselie, 2017). Political It is one of the major factor affecting the workings of organisations as the managers are not able to focus on makingof long term strategies because of which regular change of political environment.Through this, the government of the country influences NHS to a greater extent as the politicians are not aware about the management,So the managers are getting stressed because of continuous change. Economic The movement of money can cause byenvironmental change. These are thechanges whicharebeingcausedtoNHSduetochangeineconomicenvironmentincludesthe requirement of qualified staff and the cost of labour has increased drastically which is resulting in lack of human resource at NHS and the the organisation has to spend more money to hire the new staff. This is the major factor which is being faced by NHS in order to achieve its objectives. It can increase the profit and losses of NHS so that the needs are analysed and changes that are required can be implemented(Samson, Donnet and Daft, 2018). Technological As the technology is moving fast, NHS must consider as a factor of lacking behind and implement it so that it can stay ahead in the competition. The current factors which affect NHS may include changing of surgical equipments as per the improving technology and tracking of patients who are visiting the hospital. These two factors are to be undertaken by NHS in order to implement technology(Gregory, 2016). 4
