collaboration and critical thinking (Griffin and Care 2014). And the best ways of teaching them
has been via the science education. At the heart, science represents the curiosity whose creativity
calls for the need of collaboration. There lies stronger connection between the skills of the 21st
century and the science education. When it is taught through emphasizing skills, the science
helps in developing the critical thinking, digital literacy and the problem solving while enhancing
the understanding of the student engagement and the content knowledge (Alismail and McGuire

common ground as well as comprehend and understand the reaction and the behavioural
differences brought through cultural differences and the need to communicate.

needed to cope with the greater diversity in age, gender and culture. In 21st century workplace,
both non-verbal and verbal communication acts as the foundation of each and every detail
(Stoyanova 2013). The availability of the right kind of training will enable to learn the skills of
communication. In becoming competent communicator, it is vital for a person to embrace
diversity brought through the cultural differences. However, for becoming an overall
communicator it is vital to focus on the crucial targeted areas like the verbal and the non-verbal
behaviour and cues, behavioural patterns, conflict resolution, confidence, team building, process
and function of the communication, constructive feedback, criticism and undertaking effective
communication with the help of technology.
