A virtual team is one of the most essential platforms of communication in this 21st
century. Communication is one of the key aspects that companies have to focus in order to be
successful. It is an era of scientific advancements and development. For instance the company
working at Melbourne will have the gain some external knowledge and expertise if they want to
produce a product for the customers living in Bangalore in India. This is evident from the fact
that there is a sharp difference between the taste and the preferences of the customers living in
India and in Melbourne (Bartel-Radic and Münch 2016). Thus it is essential for all the
organizations to recruit some external talents from other parts of the world.
Usefulness of using Virtual Team by ABC company
Virtual teams help in adding multiculturalism and dynamism to business. Popescu and
Warmenhoven (2018) are of the opinion that virtual teams are unavoidable in this modern day
scenario as it helps in bringing a huge amount of expertise from different parts of the world
People belonging from different countries and different cultures will be able to come up with
many new and innovative business ideas. This, in turn, will be very helpful for the overall
development of the company.
The ABC Company working its headquarters in Melbourne must be using the virtual team
concept in order to collaborate with staffs living in Los Angeles, Shanghai and Bangalore.
Though this approach will have some or the other kinds of issues in the begging with the passage
of time, the staffs will be able to adjust themselves.. In order to do that ABC Company has to
form a collaboration with the other staffs living in different parts of the globe. Bringing all the

Virtual teams can hinder the pace of business meetings due to misunderstanding and
cultural differences of employees. Krumm et al. (2016) are of the opinion that virtual teams have
some errors as well. There can be a problem of proper and smooth internet connection. This can
be one of the huge problems for ABC Company. Without a smooth functioning internet
connection, they cannot carry on the meetings with all these clients living in different parts of the
organization. In order to make sure that the work is taking place properly the employees in a
virtual team must remain active always. Some employees may take the undue advantage and
spend their time on their personal task. Thus, ABC Company might have to face these hurdles as
well
Strategies to be used by ABC company
In this age of competition, ABC company must use the virtual team because of this
manifold benefits. They have to build a trust factor among employees (Paul et al. 2016). ABC
Company management must recruit some translators in the course of the virtual team meetings
so that all the employees can understand the entire important topic being discussed without
misinterpreting or missing out any proper details (Pozin et al. 2018). The managers have to make
sure that they giving due respect to their entire international al clients just as their home clients
by sharing each and every detail with them. Adopting these strategies will help ABC company to
carry on virtual team communication in an uninterrupted manner and they will be able to form a
multicultural workforce. This will help to add wide and diversified business ideas and promote
their overall welfare.

ABC Company will have to use the virtual team method in order to diversify their
business. In order to appeal to mass customer’s living all across the nation; the company will
have to collaborate with the staffs living in different parts like Sanghai, India and others. ABC
Company has to realize that F2F method will be time consuming, costly and tiring for both the
employer and employees. If they use all the strategies like hiring language interpreter, translator,
properly working internet, instant messaging platforms then they will be able to overcome the
associated hurdles with virtual team.
