In this regard a secondary research has been conducted by me as you wanted me to analyse the concept with details for knowledge improvement. The purpose of the research is to analyse the topic in depth and provide through information on the topic that how leaders use communication at corporate level to execute strategy. The aim of the research is to justify the argument that although key role for communication is served by the leader, but communication in 21stcentury is not complete without the application of technology. First the paper will discuss requirement of communication in corporate level for strategy implementation, then the role of technology in the communication will be reviewed which willbefollowedbyissuesandmitigationstrategyofintegratingtechnologyin communication.
2PROJECT MANAGEMENT Requirement of communication for leadership strategy implementation In order to ensure effective strategic implementation at corporate level it is required that the goals and objective is very transparent right from the initiation. Otherwise the team work might not be as per the scope and objective of the strategy (McAfee 2014). the communication should not only be at the employee level, it should be proper at the authorities level as higher authorities have an important role to play at the strategic implementation as well. According to Argenti , When a strategy is implemented at the organization level, there might be various queries, issues that the employees might encounter and these issues need to be solved as it has the potential to affect the process of implementing the strategy (2017, p. 148). Hence without proper communication it is not possible and the leader has a key role to play in this context. Opportunities of technology for communication The fact isnot deniable thatthe leaderplays the most importantrole in the communication. However the introduction of technology makes it easier, efficient and quick (Westerman 2014). According to McAfee, Instead of traditional meeting for communicating important message, leaders can consider video conferencing for arranging meeting anytime, from anywhere (2014, p. 79). Next the organizations could even develop organisation specific application and create common communication portal. It will help to communicate task relate information, important strategy in faster way and it will ensure that every team members are well informed about the information. It means efficiency and optimization in workflow.
3PROJECT MANAGEMENT Challenges of technology for communication and strategy for improvement Although technology is beneficial for effective communication, it has other issues too (Argenti 2017). It might distract the employees if they use the technology for activities that are no related to organization work process. According to Westerman, Employees could involve in activities like chatting, photo and video sharing (2014, p. 12). Hence proper monitoringofemployeesisnecessarytoidentifyifthetechnologyisincreasingthe productivity or not as the benefits of technology for proper communication in 21stcentury is enormous. Conclusion After analysing the relevant articles the memo concludes that communication plays and key role for leaders to successfully implement strategy in organization level. Although technology can assist in communication it can affect the productivity as well. These issues need to be mitigated with proper monitoring for successful implementation of technology in communication as it has enormous potential and benefits for strategic implementation.
