Introduction
Generic employability skills are important in terms of developing the competitive image in the
professional field. Employability skill is being defined as the transferable skill which is
important for gaining the subject knowledge as well as outlining the set of skills in professional
field (Bui and Nguyen 2019). In terms of initiating variety of tasks in different organizational
environment, employability skill can significantly bring impact on the personal growth process
of individuals. Employability skills are sometimes being called as the soft skills that influences
the professional growth (Kurtz, Draper and Silverman 2017). In order to strengthen individual
abilities it is important for individuals to gain employability skills. In the professional field,
communication, teamwork, problem solving, planning and organizing, technological knowledge,
problem solving ability and self-management are being considered as the important
employability skills that can not only enhance the professional skills but also it can make a
person confident and strong. On the other hand, it cannot be denied that there is a significant
interrelationship between employability skill and academic skill, which is important for bringing
both the personal and professional development in a person (Jackson 2016). In the academic
field, speaking, reading and listening skills are important which helps to develop strong team
management ability in a person. The purpose of this study is to shed light on the analyzing my
own academic as well as employability skills for understanding my strength as well as
weaknesses, which cam help me in future in terms of developing a strong career graph. In terms
of understanding my abilities, SWOT analysis has been conducted in this report that has helped
to critically access my abilities. In the end of this study, recommendations have been provided
that can ensure my growth in future.

Discussion
In both the academic and professional field, soft transferrable skills bring the significant impact
in terms of developing the good bonding with the team members (Magsamen-Conrad et al.
2020). Communication cam be considered as one of the effective skills that enhance the
interactive ability of a person, which reflects the positive attitude of a person towards others.
Creativity and integrity are also included in the soft transferrable skill that can help to share the
personal as well as professional values in the workplace (Messum et al. 2017). In order to
understand by employability skills, self-assessment has been conducted by me. Using the self-
assessment tools such as emotional intelligence test and big five personality tests and mind tools
such as time management test, team developing skill, communication and career development
ability test, I have analyzed my own strength as well as abilities which has helped me to
understand what kind of abilities I have developed in mine.
In the emotional intelligence test, it has been identified by me that I have scored 8 in self-
awareness, in self-management I have scored 4, in Social awareness I have scored 5 and in
relationship management I have scored 5. Analyzing all the scores, I have gained knowledge
regarding my strength as well as weaknesses. The score that I have gained in the self-assessment,
it defines that I am not self-confident and not quite aware of my limitations, which can create
negative impact on achieving the professional goals. On the other hand, I can also say that
honesty and integrity are the important weaknesses of mine. I have scored well in self-awareness,
which denotes that I am quite realistic and aware of my surroundings. This denotes the problem
solving ability of mine. In case of self-awareness and relationship management, I have scored
moderate. It defines that I need to work on improving these skills of mine.
