1MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS Introduction: Management information system is considered as one of the major databases, being used by most of the organizations in recent times in order to organization in such a manner which can help in keeping the data in well-organized manner. According to Laudon & Laudon, (2015) this is the mode of running the internal functionality of a company with utmost efficiency. This is a reflective paper which deals with my personal experience after completing the course on management information system. Some of the specific tips on designing the course will be highlighted in the paper. This paper will also put forth the discussion of the role of this course on building the knowledge on management information system. The mode of improving a team will also be discussed in the paper. Discussion: Management information system (MIS) is being considered as one of the major decision making tools which intends to control the necessary information of an organization and thereby run the company in a consistent way. This is most proactive computer data base which supports in gathering and summarizing the most important information and thereby promote effective decision making process (Sousa & Oz, 2014). This course has helped me to get an all-inclusive synopsisregardingtheissues,beingfacedbythemanagersofcontemporarybusiness environment in terms of designing the business strategy in such a manner which can help to acquire competitive advantage. Through this course, I have also explored the modern technology which are highly required for implementing proficient MIS mechanism, which is the way of running a company in a well-organized manner. Application of information system is one of the most significant aspects of this course. Fountas et al., (2015) highlighted that information system can be referred as a certain set of unified component which can have a firm impact on

Strong and proactive information system play a significant role in directing the organization towards appropriate direction. This course has also covered the impact of information system on the business model along with the process of management decision making. Information system is the integral part of contemporary corporate entity, facilitates the planning process in accordance with the predetermined organizational goals and objectives. This is the mode of executing strong and proactive decision making process. The issues based on e- business and web commerce are also some of the major aspects of this course. Successfulcompletionofthiscoursewashighlysignificantasithashelpedin understanding the significant of well-organized computer based information system which is the key of running a company in an integrated manner. One of the major aspect of this course is in- depth discussion of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. As discussed by Valacich & Schneider, (2015) this ERP can be considered as the process of aligning the core business process and thereby run the internal functionality in a timely and cost effective manner. With the assistance of this mechanism, the activity of collecting, storing and interpreting data become very easy. One of the greatest significance of this course is its detailed discussion about the supply chain management and customer relationship management which are highly required for strengthening the position of a company in the hardcore competitive market. The part of the course, which I enjoyed most is the business relationship which can be strengthened through digital platform. I have learned multiple things from this course. Initially, I have learned a lot regarding the management information system. Through this course, I have also identified the issues of executing management information system. I have learned that lack of effective organizational

Lowered organizational culture can create reluctant attitude among the employees to adapt the new changes as they are not properly skilled towards the unique system (Hill, 2017). From this course, I have also learned about the successful deployment of information which is the key of running a company in a well-organized manner. I have also learned about the major characteristic features of supply chain management. This is the major aspect of ensuring smooth flow of products and services in accordance with the requirements of customer (Wheelen et al., 2017). Maintaining healthy communication with customers and providing them with high quality of products are the key factor of maintaining cordial communication with that of the customers. There lies the significance of implementing customer relationship management (CRM) system which can have a firm impact on amplifying the public image of a company. I have also learned about the probable impact of enterprise resource planning (ERP) in an organization. Implementation of this system supports in facilitating integrated process which paves the way of attaining consistency in the business. One of the greatest benefits of ERP is that it helps in avoiding any kind of delicacy in the data (Rothaermel, 2015). I have been in a team while going through the course. In the team, my team leader has supported me in understanding the course. He has described me regarding the goals and objectives of the course and the probable benefits, which I might get after completing the course. Healthy coordination is the major factor for building a strong and proactive team (Morden, 2016). Therefore, I suggest my team members to improve their communication skill. Conclusion:
