INTRODUCTION Management information system (MIS) is used for processing the information so thatappropriate managerial decisions can be taken for the organization. By using this, managers canevaluate their own performance. Enterprise resource planning (ERP) is a software which canallow an industry in order to use some integrated applications so that they will be able to managetheir business (Wu, Garg and Buyya, 2011). This includes some different aspects likemanufacturing, development, planning, marketing and sales. The main aim of this project is toidentify the most appropriate ERP software applications. The present proposal report is based onRealTech which perform its operations in IT sector. In this, context, different enterprise resourceplanning software’s are explained in detail with their features. Along with this, it also explainedthat how this may help the organization in managing different areas like marketing, HR andsales. TASK 1Enterprise Resource planning software’sEnterprise resource planning can help the organizations in order to integrate their data andprocess into one single system. By using this, an enterprise will be able to manage theirinventory level, manufacturing system, quality and human resources (Different Types ofEnterprise Resource Planning Software (ERP), 2017). There are many different ERP systemsoftware’s which can be used by a company as per their requirements and size so that successcan be achieved. Some software is there like SAP R/3, SAP B1, LN/BAAN, Microsoft DynamicsNAY, Microsoft Dynamics AX, oracle financials, PeopleSoft (Lenart, 2011). These all have toperform their functions in an appropriate way so that targets can be achieved. These all aredescribed in an efficient way which are explained below:SAP R/3: SAP is one of the leading software provider to business organizations which runsin many countries like approx. 120 in throughout the world. They have approx. 86,000 customersof their software. They provide some superior services to their clients which transform theprocesses so that business can run successfully. It provides two kind of solutions like R3 and B1.R3 can support all type of organization that run from small to large and this can help the industryin order to fulfil their requirements (Benlian and Hess, 2011). This can be run on many differentplatforms like Windows, UNIX and Oracle. B1 is more appropriate for the small and medium1

enterprises which support customer relationship management, warehousing, e-commerce,finance and different modules. LN/BAAN: It is a type of ERP software which is offered by Infor Global which support themanufacturing on the basis of project based. Baan can offer various advantages to theorganization like through this their productivity can be improved, operational efficiency can beachieved, communication can be better at the work place, performance can be enhanced and costcan also be reduced (Amid, Moalagh and Ravasan, 2012). LN can be used by companies whichis suited for make-to-stock, make-to-order. By using these, some specific enterprises will be ableto perform well and they can also achieve success. Further, these are specially made formanufacturing firm that are working some complex products and services. Microsoft dynamics NAV and AX: Microsoft also offer some enterprise resource planningsoftware’s to their users of some small to large corporations so that their overall performance canbe improved. The Microsoft dynamics AX is best suited for some manufacturing, retailers,wholesalers who are performing their business operations at local as well as international level.The another one is NAV, which assist with different modules like finance, customer relationshipmanagement, supply chain management and this is more appropriate for the small to mediumsize firm (Management information system (MIS), 2017). Oracle e-business suite financials and PeopleSoft: Oracle also offer two other ERPsoftware to the organizations. The first one is E-business suite financials which is very easy touse by the financial industries. This can offer information consistently, forecasting, budgeting,dynamic planning and profitability analysis. Through this, overall information can be managed inan appropriate way (Shao, Feng and Liu, 2012). The another one is PeopleSoft which is designedfor the organizations that need to resolve their complex business requirements. This software willprovide some effective solutions to their users so that their performance can be improvesignificantly. This can also be run on hardware architect or many database systems. So, by usingthis they will be able to perform well and their overall productivity can be enhanced. These are some different Enterprise Resource Planning application software’s which can beadopted by business organizations in order to fulfil their requirements. By using such systems, anenterprise will be able to improve their financial performance and they can also review some realtime data which can help them in performing better.
