Research Methodology
Research methodology is the process or techniques that are to be used for the purpose of
collecting information related to research field. There are different types of methodologies that
can be used for the purpose of having sufficient information base. In present research work there
is analysis of the different types of methodologies as mentioned below:
Research Philosophy: It is analysed as the belief that is to be used to have specific data with
respect to laid topic. There are different types of methodologies that can be used in a particular
research work that includes axiology, epistemology and ontology (Zoellnerand Harris, 2017). In
present research there will be use of epistemology methodology that is of three types that is
interpertivism, positivism and critical realism. In present research there will be use of positivism
philosophy that is part of epistemology.
Research Approach: it is defines as the process of evaluating the data in a effective and
efficient manner, this approach is divided in two types that includes deductive and inductive
approach (Coe, 2017). As compared to inductive approach there will be use of deductive
approach that will assist in evaluation of statistical information.
Research Choice: It assist in introduction of the process of collection of information related
to subject or topic. There are different types of research choices that are available to the
investigator that includes mono method, mixed method and multi method (Pelto, 2017). In
present research mono method will be used as it is based on adoption of quantitative research
choices that can assist in process of collecting statistical information.
Research strategies: there are different types of research strategies which can be adopted for
collection of statistical and relevant information related to topic. There are different types of
research strategies that includes that includes case study method, survey method, experimental
method or action research method. A specific method can be used as per requirement of research
work. In present research there will be use of two strategies that is case study based method in

which there will be development of literature review that is on already existing information
(Mele and Belardinelli, 2019).
Further in survey strategy there will be two methods that is questionnaires which is based on
collecting information from the target segment of respondents. Apart from this there will be use
of interview method for collecting required information in explanatory form from the identified
target respondents.
Research Design: It is defined as the framework and the techniques that are to be select by
the researcher to assist in the process of collection, evaluation and use in specific information,
there are mainly three types of research design that includes exploratory, experimental and
descriptive (Hirschi and Selvin, 2017). In present research work there will be adoption of
descriptive research design that is based on analysing the population and situation. It can focus
on collection of quantitative information as per determined aims and objectives in a systematic
manner.
Data collection: It is regarded as the strategy that is to be carried by the researcher to assist
in the process of determination and collection of data. There are two methods that includes
primary data collection nd secondary data collection method.
Primary method: In this there is first hand information which will be collected in the present
research report by use of questionnaires and interview as a method of getting the required
information.
Secondary method: it is the secondary data collection method that is focussed on gathering
information from already existing and published sources (Fusch,, Fusch and Ness, 2018). In this
the information is already existing that it includes methods such as publications, articles, books,
magazines, newspapers etc.
Sampling: It is defined as the process through which specific sample is selected from the
while population. There are two types of sampling methods that includes probability sampling
and non probability sampling method. There will be selection of 4 employees in interview
method for collecting qualitative form of information. In interview method there will be a sample
size of 30 respondents that will be selected.
Probability sampling: It is regarded as method that helps in selection of sample that is
gathered from the whole target segment of population.
Document Page
Non probability sampling: It is the method in which sample is select with specific
requirements. This process may take larger time duration as it is working on non random basis.
Time horizon: It is the method in which specific time frame is scheduled so that aim and
objectives can be timely achieved (Hanington and Martin, 2019). There are two types of time
horizon that includes cross sectional and longitudinal time horizon. In present research there will
be use of cross sectional time horizon. It will lead to attainment of objectives in the specified
time frame with higher efficiency.
Reliability and validity of research
The information in present research work includes from two sources that is from primary
and secondary sources of collecting information. In primary the view point of respondents are
directly collected that will lead to collection of reliable and valid information in the present
research work. The secondary sources of information will be collected from journal articles,
books and other online sources that is going to lead towards having valid information in present
research work.
Limitations
The limitation associated with present research work may be with respect to the limited
availability of information. There can be no proper details with respect to the internal policies
and frameworks that are part of the organisation. This may affect the process of having sufficient
information base which can affect the overall outcomes of the research in present scenario.
Time plan
For the purpose of dividing the total available time period with respect to the different
activities that are required to be performed in the present research report. For this purpose there
will be use of Gantt Chart.
