Summary of the Organization
There are two core businesses of Husky Energy. The integrated corridor of Husky
Energy operates in Western Canada and United States and the firm integrates its thermal
production with the downstream business that gets supports from the operations of Western
Canada. In case of offshore business, the focus areas of Husky Energy are Asia Pacific and
Atlantic regions (huskyenergy.com, 2019). The key business strategy of Husky Energy is to
focus on the return from investments through the portfolio of opportunities in order to
generate increased funds from operation as well as free cash flows. The company was
founded in 1938 in Cody, Wyoming as the Husky Refining Company; after that, the company
has evolved into an integrated energy firm having operations in Western and Atlantic Canada,
the United States (US) and the Asia Pacific region (huskyenergy.com, 2019). It needs to be
mentioned that Husky Energy operates in the oil and gas industry and the main products of
the company are oil, natural gas, asphalt and other associated products (huskyenergy.com,
2019).
The main aim of this report is the analysis of different aspects of the business of
Husky Energy. This report involves in the analysis of the customer base, mission statement,
core values and vision of the firm. After that, it discusses about the corporate-level as well as
business-level strategies of Husky Energy. Last part undertakes the SWOT analysis of Husky
Energy that includes the analysis of the firm’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and
threats.
Customer Base
It needs to be mentioned that Husky Energy has both the retail and commercial
customers of their products. It indicates towards the fact that the company serves the
customers of both the retail sector and commercial sector. The services of Husky Energy are
