Introduction
It has been analyzed that there are various factors that are considered by the company. The two
topics selected for the task are communication and leading. The company selected for the task is
Nestle and in reference to this the two topics will be discussed. Communication and leading can
be considered as the important factors that are considered by the management in the workplace
as these help in guiding the employees. If proper flow of communication is not present in the
workplace then it can impact the brand value (Fraustino and Kennedy, 2018).
So, flow of communication is important to be maintained as it helps in attaining the success in
the competitive market. Leading can be said as the important function that assists the
management in motivating the employees. Leading the employee’s means to assist the workers
to be focused towards the work as it is important for organizational success. So, it can be said
that it is important for the management to motivate the employees to enable them to attain the
specific goals (Bush, 2017).
Contribution towards the success of Nestle
It is analyzed that Nestle has focused on the functions related to communication and leading.
These two factors helped the company in accomplishing the set targets. Communication team of
Nestle has played an essential role as it is known as the driving force of the company. The team
with proper cooperation in relation to functions and departments can shape the involvement of
the staff members. The communication team assists to attain the business goals by developing
and executing the proactive external and internal communication and engagement programs. The
effective communication strategy, the emphasis has also been given on offering counsel, strategy
and planning that ensures the consistency and also credible flow of communication (Nestle,
2019).

In Nestle, the higher authority emphasizes on focusing on internal and external audiences by
appointing the professionals who have strong communication skills. The flow of communication
should be maintained, as the activities of the company target the broad range of audiences that
includes NGO’s, leaders and also the employees. Communication should be maintained, there
are some areas on which company emphasizes on local and international platform. It is analyzed
that media relations is one of the area that acts as the voice of the organization to the outsiders. It
has been observed that corporate content and digital platform is also the medium through which
communication can be maintained via websites and social media channels that helps to reach
millions of the customers and also helps to boost the employee’s engagement (Nestle, 2019).
Leading is the next topic which is selected and it has been analyzed that Nestle considers this
factor as it helps in boosting the motivation level of employees. Leading is done by the managers
of the team so that workers can give their best towards the assigned task. In relation to Nestle
Company, one of the popular functions is considered which can be stated as the Nestle Lead
program that aims at creating the potential of the youth in references to the skills and
competencies. In this program, the cross functional exposure is considered that offers the growth
opportunity to the employees (Winston, 2018).
The management of the company also leads the employees by considering the talent
development programs. International development program is the strategy that is considered by
the company in which the skills of the employees is maintained. The market level management
trainees also spend minimum of 3 years in the market as it helps in boosting their performance in
the workplace. The young talent development program is also considered in which the company
focus on developing the young talent at the early stage. This is one of the best approaches that
are considered to lead the employees in the workplace (Nestle, 2019).
The leaders of the company also lead the employees by emphasizing on the career development.
The career development chance is offered to the employees in that the focus is given on boosting
innovation. At the time of leading the employees the motivation is one of the factors that help to
boost the motivation and engagement level of the workers (Nestle, 2019). Motivation is one of
the techniques that are considered by the management in this they lead the workers towards the
organizational operations. To lead the employees, Maslow hierarchy of needs is one of the
popular motivational concepts that helps the managers in enhancing the leading capacity of the

It has been observed that communication and leading plays a significant role in managing the
functional activities of the company. Both these factors are important for the growth and success
of the company and it has been seen that if it is taken effectively by management then it would
be easy to accomplish the set targets (Schlegelmilch, 2016). The significant part is played by the
communication as it is one of the important factors that are essential to be considered by the
management so that opinions and views of the employees can be shared effectively.
Communication assists in boosting the confidence of the employees in relation to the activities of
the company. If confidence is enhanced of the workers then it can be examined that it is one of
the best outcome through which success can be enhanced of the company (Dhanesh and
Sriramesh, 2018).
Leading plays a significant role in the workplace as it is examined that through leading the
employees have the opportunity to enhance the working capacity. The significant part of the
leading topic is related to motivating the employees to be efficient and dedicated towards the
assigned task. It can be analyzed that if higher authority leads the employees then it plays a
significant part in boosting the motivational factor of the workers towards. So, it can be said both
these topics are important to be considered by the management as it plays a significant role in

The group has selected this topic because it is considered as one of the popular topics that are
used by the management at the time of controlling the routine functions of the company. It is

efficiency of the employees. In the present era, there are no companies who operate the functions
without considering the leading and communication factor. The main reason behind selecting
these topics relates with collecting the accurate information. By taking into consideration these
functions, it has been seen that vast information can be collected on the different companies as it
is the basic function that is used to control the routine operations in the workplace. By
considering these topics there is a wide scope in enhancing the knowledge and skills related to
communication and leading factors that are considered by the management at the time of
managing the operations of the business (Robson et al., 2016). So, it can be said that these two
topics has helped in gaining the information in relation to the popular topics related to leading
and communication.
Importance of communication and leading
It is examined that communication has an important role in the workplace and it is necessary to
maintain the working pattern. If flow of communication is not proper in the workplace then
employees can face the difficulty at the time of solving their queries with the management. One
of the best examples that are elaborated is of Nestle Company in which the leaders of the
company emphasize on the process of communication so that it could be easy to consider the

communicate effectively, the company has set proper hierarchy so that the employees can share

be said that with the help of these both the functions the company has easily attained success and
