1MANAGEMENT The paper is focused in the elaboration of the principles of the risk assessment and the hazard analysis in my own workplace which is BHP Billiton. Along with that, the paper analyses the impact of the Occupational Safety and Health Administrations and the other controlling methods on the prevention of the workplace injuries. Apart from this, the paper also analyses the current strategies that are employed in my workplace for the effective management of the hazards related to the job tasks. Principles of Risk Assessment in BHP Billiton: The main principles for the safety of the employees inside the mentioned organization are mentioned below: Strong emphasis on the safety rather than the productivity. Robust analysis and verification of the in-field materials and the fatal risks (Bhp.com, 2019). Strong focus on the increment of the internal investigation process. Increment in the quality field time for the engagement of our workforce. The key principles for the management of the health risks of the employees inside the organization are mentioned below: Strong focus on the identification of the hazards that have the potential to cause injury to the employees (Bhp.com, 2019). Usage of the appropriate methods of analysis for the identified issues or agents as mentioned below

In addition to this, OSHA focuses on the production of the safety training to the employees of the organization in the appropriate language and the accurate record keeping of the work related injuries. Criticism of BHP Billiton’s Strategy: The mentioned organization is seen to play a significant role in the management of the workplace injuries. As mentioned above, the organization has diversified methodologies in place for the assessment of the various issues and the agents such as Aerosol sampling, Biological monitoring, Chemical analysis of the samples, exposure risk profile, Heat stress, ionising radiation, UV radiation, Vibration and Noise. Apart from that, the risk assessment strategy of the mentioned organization is significant in the application of the differentiated control methodology for the issues and the agents like the infectious diseases, fatigue management, diesel particulate and the asbestos. I was subjected to notable amount of dangers such as rock burst, outburst, roof collapse, gas poisoning, suffocation and gas explosions. Apart from that, I faced the adverse impact of the after damp and the stink damp as well. However, three of the dangers that had the larger impact on me compared to the other ones, are the white damp, black damp, fire damp along with severe back pain. The impact of the above mentioned issues were significant in my operations and were responsible for the decrement of my efficiency. However, it is expected that the measures cited by me have the potential to improve my condition and increase my efficiency as a production mining employee.
