Management
Management is the art of getting the work done with the organization with the help of
efficient workers or an organized groups. It helps in delegating the work among the people so
that it can result in completing it that will allow the organization in achieving its set of pre-
determined goals (Armsttrong and Taylor 2014). The use of management results in creating a
better internal environment that results in increasing the efficiency of the level of production.
The efforts that are put in by the people helps in ensuring that the raw materials are available
and that the organization follows certain rules and regulations so that the satisfaction level of
the employees can be increased (Brewster et al. 2016).
Mintzberg’s 10 managerial roles
Henry Mintzberg had laid down ten roles of manager that will help them to be
effective in nature. It will help in managing the structure and design of the organization in a
better manner. Mintzberg had divided the roles of manager in three different categories
known as Interpersonal contact, information processing and decision making (Kumar 2015).
The managers under the interpersonal contact needs to be a figurehead so that they
can understand and carry out the duties in a proper manner. The manager of the company
represent the external and internal matters that are happening within the organization. They
should also be a leader so that the employees can be motivated within the work floor. The
support given to the employees will help them in increasing the level of satisfaction within
the company as well (Laud, Arevalo and Johnson 2016). The manager is act required to act as
a liaison between the upper management and the employees so that it can result in effective
communication. The policies that are laid by the upper management needs to be
communicated with the employees and their feedbacks need to be passed in an appropriate
manner so that the working environment is friendly in nature (Ollila and Ystrom 2017).
