Introduction
Employee commitment indicates the satisfaction level and employee engagement towards their
companies. It is important to measure the commitment level of employees because this is directly
linked with the success of the organization (Efthymiou et al., 2019). It is considered important
because the productivity and achievement of the organization is related with the commitment
level and through the trust which employees has towards the organization. The estimation
revealed that it also supports in increasing the motivation level of the employees in corporation
(Harrison, 2018). Therefore, it is also described that this is the amount of enthusiasm the
workforce has towards the company and it is significant in increasing the level of responsibility
among the employees towards the mission, vision and overall goals as well as objectives of
organizations. Therefore, there is direct association between the two variables that the employee
commitment and organizational productivity. This affects the organizational environment in
positive manner.
In this report, “Effect of employee commitment on organizational performance in British
Airways” topic is selected. It is because in the year 2018, the commitment level of the employees
is high due to adopting various strategies and it is directly linked with the outcomes of the
organization (British Airways, 2020). This results in increasing the revenue of the Airline which
is revealed that in the year 2018, the revenue of the Airways was £13,020 million. The Airline
was founded in the year 1974 and headquarters of the airline is in UK (British Airways, 2020).
Therefore, it is described that there is direct association of the employee commitment with the
profitability of the organization. Therefore, the research will focus on the following research
objectives which include:-

“To examine the association between the workers commitment as well as employee
turnover in British Airways”.

Employee commitment
Employee commitment refers to the approach which describes the attachment level of the
employees towards the company (Chaudhry et al., 2017). The experience plays an important role
in the company it is because higher the experience leads in increasing the commitment and
satisfaction of the organization. In the current year employee commitment is considered
significant because company conduct their operations in highly competitive environment which
affects the productivity of the organization. Therefore it is considered important to satisfy the
employees and to include assess their engagement so that productivity of the organization will be
increased according to the needs and requirement. This results in increasing the capability of the
organization to expand in international environment and to adopt the changes in the external
environment (Srai et al., 2015).
Employee’s commitment and engagement is the process through which managers can evaluate
the productivity to achieve the revenue in the long run (Morton et al., 2018). Therefore, the data
collection was done through estimating the strategies which is used by the airline industry to
understand the commitment level of the employees in the organization. Through the analysis it is
estimated that airline industry use survey method and provide feedback to the employees because
