INTRODUCTIONManagement is the process by which organisations and their employees put their effortstogether in order to achieve the common goal. That are several activities and operations thattakes place in the organisation, in order to co-ordinate and manage that activities is management.There are four key function of management that are planning, directing, controlling andorganising. These four function of management goes together. First organisation will plan theiractivities, then they organise all the resources and allot roles and responsibilities, then managersand leaders guide the employees and then finally actual performance is compared with standardone in order to find the effectiveness of the planning. For this report PureGym have been taken.The report is going to include the brief introduction about the organisation, its structure, modernmanagement approach and innovative strategic management objectives. Task 1 Introduction about the organisationPureGym Limited is a chain of no frill's fitness clubs in the United Kingdom. Theorganisation have their gym in all over the world. It is the British largest gym where about morethan 450000 members have been registered. The venture have now putting large efforts to open300 more gyms by the year 2020. In the year 2015, they have acquired the largest competitorsof the UK which is around 141 companies. In 2017, the organisation is having 172 gyms in theUK. The biggest facilities which the organisation is serving is their gyms are opened in 24 hoursin a day. Other than that their gym have several weight losing and lifting machines. Their gymalso serve several other facilities such as r cardio equipment, fixed and free weights, and exerciseclasses (Jing and Avery, 2011). The gym is linked with the real-time TV where security staff andemergency services are monitoring on continuous basis. PureGym is privately owned by CCMP Capital and other investors, in the year 2014, ithas been founded that the organisation was very close to acquire their biggest rival that is LAfitness for around £60 million to £80 million. Other than that it is very low cost gym which isbeing offered by the every individual in the UK and all over the world. With the venture serveother promotional services such as there is 20% discounts for the student membership. Thereason behind giving this discount is that, gym is being mostly joined by the youngster saycollege goers (Kark and Shamir, 2013.). Thus, the organisation want to keep all the youngster fitso that they can able to uplifts their nation. 1
