Job description
For reflecting on the fieldwork experience in Tom Flower Cricket Coaching, my

feasibility of the plans in accordance to the current scenario of my performance. Indulging in
meetings with the directors and managers assisted me to propose new business ideas for
organizing new events.
I was also responsible for conducting sessions for enhancing the awareness about
polishing the skills, abilities and competencies. I was also to ensure whether these sessions
are properly delivered to the candidates according to the identified and the specified
requirements. For this, I evaluated the plans and schedules daily, after which I reported the
findings to the senior managers. I also looked after the curriculum, which was prepared for
organization of the sports events.
One of my other duties was accounted as the simplification of Rotas, where my main
focus was to add clarity into the roles and responsibilities of the personnel. Within my duties,

and public speaking. I think lectures and seminars acted as a platform for us to transmit the
ideas, thoughts and plans into actions. We were provided with training on presentation,
narration, storytelling among others.
Design thinking
In the coaching, the trainers and supervisors taught us to think out of the box. I
practiced wide ranging exercises, which helped me to convert the ideas into actions. I was
engaged in reflecting on every day’s performance, which acted as an agent for detecting the
alternatives, which would have acted assistance in synthesizing the propositions for reaching
to the conclusion. Affirming to the arguments of Cushion, Christopher and Mark (2016), I
used the tool of problem solving and decision making matrix. These tools enhanced my
awareness about the issues within my understanding and the relevant solutions. This insight
was helpful in terms of mapping the scope and arena of the alternatives, which can be applied
to the understanding. In this case, I can mention of the practical tests comprehension, logical
reasoning, aptitude and others, which helped me to assess my capability regarding the
application of the learnt skills. I felt that various exercises and experiments enhanced my
thinking skills and judgemental capabilities, which I think helped in enhancing creativity and
innovation.
Decision making
One of the other skills, which I gained from summer fieldwork experience in Tom
Flower Cricket Coaching is decision making. In this, I was taught adaptability skills through
exposure to different situations. I felt that use of different training methods for different
candidates proved effective in terms of catering to their specific skill requirements,
capabilities and competencies. Hiring professional clients seemed to be beneficial for gaining
awareness about the latest standards and protocols of cricket coaching. I think that sessions

Overcoming the challenges
I am aware of the fact that challenges are inevitable in every sphere of life. This was
also applicable in this coaching. The trainers and the supervisors emphasized on risk
assessment exercises, which helped in mapping the potential challenges in understanding the
basic concepts. For this, the approach applied was that of customization. Considering the
assumptions of Jones, Napiersky and Lyubovnikova, (2019), I can say that one of the
important activities was that of teamwork, which I felt was important in terms of enhancing
the coordination and unity. I felt that the practice of spontaneous thinking was apt in terms of
averting delays. In some of the cases, I lacked the ability to take spontaneous decisions for
overcoming the challenges. In this situation, guidance and motivation from the trainers and
supervisors acted assistance in terms of approaching the issues in an efficient and effective
manner.
Information technology
Summer fieldwork experience in Tom Flower Cricket Coaching helped me to upgrade
the skills in UI, that is, user interface. Along with this, consideration of Light, Richard and

Application Program Interface (API), where I learnt about the development of the backend
software. I can highlight the cases of programming languages like java script, NodeJS,
angular and HTML, which was an integral part of the training courses. I can also mention
about the hosting in firebase through URL, which helped me to enhance the understanding
about the specific mechanisms of the computer basics. I has no idea about these courses,
however, guidance from the supervisors and trainers helped me to gain an insight about these

has helped me to detect the areas in which I need to improve. Considering the arguments of
Light et al. (2017), guidance and training from the supervisors has resulted in clarification of
the doubts regarding achieving an understanding of the basic concepts related to cricket
coaching. Various activities like quizzes, storytelling sessions, logical reasoning,
presentations and aptitude tests were organized, which improved my creativity and
imagination skills. I also felt that indulging in these activities proved beneficial in

which I approached through the means of post training tests. Our performance was scored on
balanced scorecards, which I think was beneficial for maintaining records. These records
proved to be a crucial component for evaluating the upgradation in the performance.
Affirming to the propositions of Nelson et al. (2016), application of the design thinking
proved to be an effective option for gaining an insight into the process through which the
thoughts transformed into materialistic things. In this context, I can mention about the fitness
tests, which were organized for assessing the capability of the players.

developing justification about the tasks, which had been allocated to me. Affirming to the
propositions of Jones et al. (2019), I can argue that the programming courses of computer

software for preparing the sports events. These programming courses proved beneficial for
me to enhance the design thinking skills. Meeting with the foreign delegates upgraded my
knowledge about values, behaviour and choices, which governs the professionalism in the

which I need to follow for gaining respect, trust and dependence from the clients and the

respecting the individual sentiments and opinions of the clients and the customers.
I think I have also gained understanding about the ways in which an organization

Need analysis was conducted, which I think was helpful in gaining an insight into the
specific needs of the team members. Herein, I can correlate Maslow’s hierarchy of Needs
Theory. According to this theory, I have found that self-esteem is the main need, which helps
in enhancing the personality. Being a part of the coaching, I learnt about the ways and means
of establishing effective communication with others. This learning enhanced my experience
about dealing with different kinds of people. As a matter of specification, I gained a deeper

concept of reflective observation, which helped me to remove the knowledge gaps and

possessed about the provision of coaching regarding the basic ways and means of playing
cricket. I indulged in various kinds of exercises, which clarified my notions regarding the
fundamental concepts. After this, I planned to indulge in experimentation of my skills,
abilities and capabilities for assessment. I maintained the sequence in conducting the

need to maintain between the personal and professional spheres.
These aspects are further divided into accommodating, diverging, converging and

enhancement of the skills needed for playing good cricket. For this, I enrolled myself in this
coaching, where my aim was to accomplish the identified and the specified goals. As stated
by Light et al. (2017), I have found that the main action in this context is processing of the
ideas, thoughts into actions for getting productive results. Undertaking the challenges of
executing the responsibilities helped me to accommodate the necessary skills and
requirements into the performance. In case of diverging, my aim was to observe the action of

sharpen their skills, abilities and competencies in the field of cricket. I felt that creating plans
regarding events and tournament is an integral part of the business for enhancing the
performance. I adopted Social media marketing, which seemed to be an agent for increasing
the trafficking of the audience towards the brand image. I introduced lucrative offers,
schemes and discounts for the clients in order to gain an insight into the needs of the
stakeholders.
I also conducted surveys and feedbacks for assessing the effectiveness,
appropriateness and feasibility of the plans, policies and programs. According to my
observations, online booking facilities proved to be a means for segmenting the prospective
clients, who can contribute in increasing the sales revenue and profit margin. I managed the
operations by evaluating the performance through checklists and templates, which helped me
to measure the extent to which the performance aligned with the identified and specified
benchmarks.
