MAIN BODY Part A Comparing traditional and contemporary approaches of management There have been several changes being seen in approaches to management. It is important to change with the time so that the business organisation are able to attain goals and objectives successfully. The nature of business environment is dynamic and it becomes necessary to use new approaches to management. In regard to traditional approaches of management, more power was in the hands of superiors(Hussain, HAQUE and Baloch, 2019). They give targets to the juniors that they have to accomplish. The classical theory says that the employees were given financial benefit so that they are motivated to work. The human theory is part of traditional approach under which different ways of motivating the employees are studied so that they are able to achieve goals and objectives. At that time, the management was goal oriented and all the efforts were done by managers of the company to accomplish the desired goals. Therewere hierarchy organisational structure followed and the employees were not given more rights. There are significant changes being noted and the contemporary approaches to management were seen. The current focus in on strategic management. All the new methods to management have taken place. The complexities in the business environment have risen. Nowadays in contemporary management, all the steps that are taken by company includes the employees. The decision making is now more appropriate because of high involvement if employees. New and innovative areas of working are being designed. The flexible working environment is being provided to the employeesandnewmotivationalstrategiesarebeingused(Hussein,2018).Thechange management models are also used to bring changes in the organisation. There is need to work as per the business environment so that all the necessary changes can be undertaken in proper
manner. It is also being examined, that proper and timely training is given to the employees in contemporary approach so that they are able to improvise on regular basis. The use of performance management techniques is also done so that the real time performance of the employees can be reviewed. It is also a necessary step that assist the company in knowing about the strengths and weakness of the employees and assist in enhancing their performance. There is need to use all the new techniques and approaches so that the company is able to beat the competition that is present in market. It is seen that there are changes in the traditional and contemporary approaches to management. Part B At the time of doing the group presentation, I was able to develop various skills and competencies. It is necessary to use all the study material that is being learnt at the time of studying the module. It is necessary to understand the difference between formal and informal team. To carry on the project, formal team was established and it helps to carry on the work properly. It is necessary to know about all the skills of team members so that real success of the project can be achieved (Astuti, 2021). The team is being formulated by using Tuckman theory of team development. In the first stage that is forming the tasks are being allocated to the team members. This helps them to be ready about the work that they have to carry on. In storming stage, the team members carry are either able to develop the relation or there are conflicts being observed in the team members. Every team member in this stage was focusing on the end goal and had their own set of problems. In the next stage is a ideal stage because the team members start trusting each other and value the members. It assists in effective communication among the members and they are able to carry on the activities in proper manner. It is generally one of the important stage. There is need to note that, in performing stage all the team members were ready to carry on the work based on the tasks that are being assigned to them. There is need of cooperation among the team members so that the work can be carried on time. It is essential to note that the by supporting the team members the work was being done by them. The last stage is adjourning in which the work is being completed and the team dissolves. By carrying on the work successfully the team members were able to build relations with each other and the presentation was successful(Wiyono, 2018). By having small teams there is better coordination and the work is being managed properly.

It is also important to note that motivating the team members is necessary. There are times when they are demotivated and unable to carry on the work. They are unable to understand the given task and that caused problems in the team members. Motivation plays a key role in completing the work properly. The work of team members can be managed with the help of proper motivation. It is seen that there are some needs and expectations of the team members and that is to carry on the work properly. So, the leader of team plays a key role and help them to move towards the goal so that they are able to achieve the objectives properly. By fulfilment of the goals they are fully motivated and ready to carry on the future tasks. To motivate the team members Vroom expectancy theory was being used. They were being satisfied and assigned the work that they can carry out properly and it is called valence. They are guided about the desired behaviour so that they are able to achieve the goals and objectives successfully. The right behaviour of team members play a critical role(Musinguzi and et.al., 2018). By combing both valence and expectancy the strengths of the team members are being observed and they are able to get motivated. By working with full motivation the real success of the team members can be attained. It becomes necessary to carry on the work in proper manner with full motivation. It is analysed that by using CVF’s Action imperatives one is able to know about the capabilities and then know better about self. It is necessary to achieve overall success by using the tasks in such a manner that governs success of the team. Collaborator and do thing together: It is necessary to work together so that all the tasks can be carried on together. The rating in this head will be 8. Create and do thing first: It involves taking initiative. I will get 5 points here. Complete and do things fast: In this quadrant I will be be rated as 9 as I am able to complete the work assigned to me fast. Control and do things right: I will get 6 points in this quadrant.
CONCLUSION From the above essay, it is analysed that there is need to study properly to achieve success. The difference in contemporary and tradition management approachesare being analysed in the first part. In the next part use of team work and motivational theories is being shown.
