Reflection report 1
All Asia Airways
My concrete experience about this case study focusses on two individuals named
Richard Chang and David Leong who held high ranks at All Asia Airways (AAA). Richar
Chang was known for taking up risks while investing in a particular business and succeed in
it at the same time. He was observed as ruthless and also fired senior executives and members
from the office on the failure of the target meeting. He was also known for throwing lavish
parties for important members from the government to get their aid in a particular section of
their business. Most of his contributions were based on donations to political parties and gifts
to important members of the government. Lastly, Richard was forced to register the AAA in
the United States as a company in America. David Leong was a recruit of the purchasing
section of AAA. He asked his boss about the approval of a new contract which supplied with
aircraft seats to AAA. However, this offer was stated in the code of conduct that accepting
invitations from other organizations is strictly prohibited. However. The boss stated that they
should accept the offer and gradually started attending the lunches, gifts, and dinners
organized by various inviters. Everything went fine unless a hazardous incident occurred.
This incident came in the form of a phone call to David which stated that a faulty fuel pump
was identified in A380s. This loss has resulted in millions of revenue for the company.
According to my reviews, Richard Chang followed unethical means to flourish his
business in terms of bribing the government by arranging gift parties for them. He also fired
the people instead of giving them a second chance to those who failed to meet their target.
The improper means of business became more evident when Richard thought of expanding
his business to American and Canadian markets when he was forced to sign the AAA as an
American organization. David Leong, on the other hand, followed another strategy of
