Part 1
Ageing of populations has been an important concern for upcoming global public
healthcare challenges. According to population statistics, the number of people with more
than 65 years of age will eventually outnumber children who are less than 5 years.
Demographic as well as epidemiological changes agglomerated with urbanisation,
globalisation and modernisation have increased the prevalence of chronic disease conditions
especially among older citizens (Suzman et al.,2015). The following paragraphs will
encompass the various challenges faced by people in new careers regarding health-care and
their effects due to the increase in the population of aged people.
According to the Census bureau projects, The US population have been estimated to
increase by 9 percent between the years 2013 and 2025. Moreover, the growth of ageing
population would be clubbed with increased cases involving chronic diseases as well as
conditions pertaining to the medical field. Furthermore, the population with cardiovascular
diseases along with stroke and heart attack are supposed to increase by 27% between 2013
and 2025 ("An Aging Population And Growing Disease Burden Will Require A Large And
Specialized Health Care Workforce By 2025 | Health Affairs", 2019).
Responses for public policies pertaining to population aging have enough potential for
mitigation of health concerns for the ageing populations. Moreover, general, social as well as
economic conditions inclusive of changes in the wage as well as relative prices of goods,
services alongside technological innovations have the potential for mitigation of the pressures
which are associated with population ageing (Bloom et al.,2015). A major setback for the
billing and coding industry have been due to opting out of the Medicare facilities due to the
law passed by the Supreme Court in 2012. However, the crisis have been averted with
improvisation in health insurances which would sustain the increasing costs of older people.
