Which type of strategies as well initiative is taken by the company in order to build a diverse
and inclusive workforce”
INTRODUCTION
In the fast-changing world managing business environment equality and diversity are the
essential aspect for the company which tend to provide better working culture for the company.
Diversity consist of different element such as age, gender and ethnic background which company
have to acquire so to achieve desire aims and objective in the well define manner (Bartelds,
2019). On the other hand, equality describe about similarity in providing all the benefits services
to consumer. The present report is based upon ASDA which is British supermarket retail store
which deals in grocery items. The company headquarter is located in UK and there are 165000
working for the company. The project describes about various kind research method which is
used for completion for work effectively. Apart from this recommendation and reflection is been
used to describe about the company workplace effectively.
TASK 1
P1 Aim and objective of project
Overview of the company: ASDA is the one of the largest convenience stores in entire
UK and its main office is located in Leeds, United Kingdom. The firm was founded in year 1949
and there are 631 stores in UK. Beside the grocery items company also offer different kind of
other services such as financial and mobile phones.
Research aim:
“To determine the different strategies and initiative taken by the company for developing
diverse and inclusive workforce”. A case study on ASDA.
Research objective:
To figure out the concept of diversity and equality at workplace.
To understand the method, use by ASDA to create diversity within a company.
To examine the importance of diversity at workplace.
Research question:
Why implementation of diversity and equality is essential at workplace.
What kind of method to be used by ASDA to build inclusive organization?
What is the importance of diversity and inclusive is referred to the ASDA?

P2 Development of project management plan
This is considered as the process in which company use to develop different kind of
method such surveys and research to meet the objective research in a well define manner. The
plan is mainly developed by investigator by analyzing different aspect of project as this provide
better result. There are various kind of aspect which must be consider while planning is
explained down below:
Cost: This describe about the monetary value which is essential for the completion of
project in the well define manner. For this particular project of ASDA investigator require 2000£
to successfully completion of work. As this vital for the researcher to funds effectively for
fulfilling the objective of the work.
Scope: The scope of research in wide as this provide vast information about the diversity
at the workplace. ASDA have to take initiative which help in increasing the scope for the
company to improve the performance of the company.
Time: This is very important as completion of research work on time is very crucial. The
excepted time which is taken for this research is around 20 days. So, this is vital for the
invigilator to use time effectively.
Quality: It is work quality which help in creating effective work as per the standard. This
sis vital for the researcher to collect data from the reliable sources which help in increasing the
productivity and also aid in improving the work quality in a well define manner.
Communication: This is a method through which company use to increase the
productivity and efficiency so that it helps in increasing desire result and effectiveness in a
proper manner. There are different ways of communication such as E- mail, chat box and Skype.
All these methods are used by researcher for completion of work.
Risk: This describe about the theft or threat for investigator while completion of work
research. The rise in cost during work can be consider as the risk which must be taken care off to
bring out effective result in a well define manner.
Resources: In order to finish the research, investigator require different resources such as
Laptop, money, internet, mobile and many other tools which are used to for the completion of
work effectively. So, this is essential to all the resources which are timely to be used for the
completion of work in effectively way.
P3 Develop work breakdown structure and Gantt chart to provide timeframe
Gantt chart: This chart is most commonly used in the project management at it is
consider as most commonly used method to describe the time activities. In the left side of chart
there are list of different activities whereas on the other hand the length of bar describes about
the date and activity which is used by the company (Becker, 2020). For the researcher this is
very effectively tool which help in providing all the crucial knowledge and assist in completion
of work in timely manner.
