INTRODUCTION
Diversity refers to the aggregation of different kind of religion, ethnic, background and
beliefs depend upon the individual. Diversity define as those all factors as well as the elements
which make people different from each other and there are differences in human activities as per
the trend. On the other hand equality states to the sameness where all the workers are treated
equally and they have proper rights to achieve desire aims and objectives effectively at the
workplace (Dansoh and et., al., 2020). These factors are concerned as the intrinsic factor which
provide high profit margin as well provide clear path to manage successful business project. The
present report is bases upon ASDA which is an British supermarket retailer and its headquartered
is located in West Yorkshire. Company was founded in year 1949 and the company which is
associated with different diaries to capture large market share. This project discuss about various
kind of aims and objectives which consist of various aspect. Apart from this, there are different
research method and data collection method as the interpretation of data effectively. At last this
report offers different recommendations as to improve the experience and activities of the firm.

P1. Project aims and objectives
Overview of the company: ASDA is taken in this report which is supermarket retail
store present in UK. The company was founded by Peter and Fred Asquith and the company
have around 631 location. Apart from this, firm deals in Grocery, general and financial service
with the 165,000 employees who work effectively to achieve desire aims and objectives of the
company.
Research Aim: “To study the various challenges faced by organisation due to gender pay gap at
workplace including different measures to deal with it”A case study on ASDA.
Research objectives:
 To study the concept of equality and diversity at workplace.
 To determine the different challenges faced by enterprise due to gender pay gap at
workplace.

 To identify the various strategies or measure that could be taken by ASDA to deal with
the issues of gender pay gap at workplace.

 What are the major challenges which are faced by the organisation which increase the

 What are the measure to solve the issue to reduce the gender pay gap?

Project management plan
This is consider as the following input from the project team and the key stakeholders. It
is consider as the formal, approved document that define how the project is executed, monitored
and examined as to ensure to provide timely service to consumer. In other words this is the
summary of the detail document which include the different baseline and management plan to
achieve desire aims and objectives effectively. There are various kind of element present in the
plan such as controlling, identifying and implementing new ways to accomplish desire aims and
target in a well define manner. There are some of the aspect which are explained down below in
detail manner:
Cost: This is essential for the organisation to conduct the specific work project plan as to
manage and control the cost. For the completion of this project the different tool as well as
equipments are required which tend to increase the cost (Gambardella, Khashabi and Panico
2020). As this vital to manage and track the funds for the proper completion of work in a given
time frame. The various objectives which comes under the project are completion of given aims
and objectives which must are useful to describe about the different objectives. The estimated
cost for the completion of this project is around £500.
Quality: For the project is essential for the individual to have quality in the work which
describe about the productivity and sustainability of the project. There are different kind of
investigation which is done to monitor and manage all the work effectively. In order to improve
the quality in the work proper research related issue must be taken into account which help in
accomplish the desire aims and objectives. As to carry forward research there must be different
tool and method must be taken into account to bring out quality result effectively. This will aid in

keeping the research quality high and it also provide authenticity for the information and
research for the longer time duration.
Time: This refers to the framework which is essential for the investigator to complete
the work on time. As to manage such activity there must be proper planning regarding the project
which leads to avoid any kind of risk and uncertainty present in the market. Thus, the
investigator has evaluate that the project needs around 5 month to complete it properly and
effectively.
Scope: In the management plan scope plays an vital role in achieving desire aims and
objectives effectively. The project have wide scope which is based upon the common equality
and diversity at the workplace through which the company can develop better environment to
which aid in strength the market position to some extent. There is immense scope to measure the
different aspect which help in expanding the business effectively.
Communication: Good communication network is required as to assure that the
information as well as data is vital for the proper research. Hence to there must be proper flow of
message among investigator to enhance the project work effectively. There are different method
which can be used by the individual for communicating are email, phones and Skype or it can
done face to face.
Risk: These are the factor which must be avoided for timely completing the project
appropriately. Hence the research has taken the initiative which is used as authorising to act as
per the rules in order to reduce any kind of risk and uncertainty. As to minimizing the risk the
surveyor can increase the issue for the context of accuracy to achieve desire outcomes
effectively. Apart from this there are different risk such as time and funds which should be
managed to reduce the risk.
Resources: This is the factor which consist of land, labour, money and manpower which
should be managed and control the overall activities present in the research. In this current
project the research identify the elements which are essential to achieve desire aims and
objectives effectively. As there are there different aspect which must be identified such as human
resource, operation and research design which is crucial for the firm to manage and control as to
fulfil the needs and wants of the firm.

P3. Produce a work breakdown structure and a Gantt chart to provide time frame
Gantt chart: This is used in the project management and it is one of the most popular
tool to show the project status and functioning effectively. On the left of the chart there is the list
of different activities which help to keep different the time scale effectively ( Kahn and Baum
2020). In this this chart each activity is represent by the bar and the position of the length and
reflects the start date effectively. Along with this it aid in monitoring the limits of each action so
that project can be accomplished to achieve desire aims and objectives effectively.

Work break down structure: This is effective measure which is used by the researcher
to break down the large junk of work into manageable work. Hence this tend to increase the
efficacious of project and bring out the useful result effectively. With the aid of WBS the
researcher can organise the work effectively and fulfil the needs and objectives of work in the
given time frame.

P6 Suitable recommendations as a result of research and data analysis
In current era, organisations are highly faced a challenge of gender pay gap and this issue
arse within the company when the management make discrimination at workplace regarding,
reward, pay and growth options. In ASDA, this problem m of gender pay gap arise when the
company make favouritism and the suggestions in context of dealing with this issues are defined
as below:
 To deal with the problem of gender pay gap, it can be recommended to the management
of respective company that the administration must develop plan and policies to
administrate the quality of work so that it will help in reducing the difficulty of equality
and diversity at workplace. To salaried and provide growth option to those people in
equal way who are working on same position, the company can provide similar
treatment.
 It can also recommended to the management of ASDA that it must consider participative
leadership style so that all the workforce can get the change of making participation in
determination devising activity. It will help in encouraging them and they can perform
their task in amended way.
 Apart from it, the management of ASDA must conduct training and development
sessions to employees so that they can develop their skills and perform their work in
effective way in form of accomplishing set objectives.

P7 Reflection on the value of project the research to meet stated objectives
At the time of performing in this project report, I used all my effectiveness and
competencies to execute my work and task in more effective manner. By using Gantt Chart and
WBS model in divided my working small parts and set time duration so that I can easily
complete my task in given time duration. I do these all things with the help of management skills
and with assistance of it, I segregate my work so that I can attain my set goals by maintaining the
quality of work. Along with it, I also get information about different things when I was working
in this research project. I make development in my communication skills because at the time of
gathering data for the completion of this report, I make conversation with various people who
belong form different region and use different languages. It help me in providing information

about different culture and languages. By using different data collection techniques and methods
like primary, secondary, qualitative, quantitative and questionnaire etc., I gather accurate data
which help me in developing my skills to perform any research project in forthcoming time.
CONCLCUION
It has been concluded from the preceding explained content that equality and diversity
play and important role in a company as it assist in maximising profitably and productivity in
better manner. The major problem m of gender pay gap which is highly faced by different
companies sin current era or negative affect their operations and activities in term of impacting
employees in unfavourable way. By considering effective plans, strategies and following polices
it can be overcome by the firm. Project management plan offer guidance and structure for timely
completing a project. Gantt Chart and WBS are implemented for meeting time duration and
stages of project.
