TITLE: To identify benefits and risks of a joint business venture to enter International markets.“A case study on John Lewis”. 1.Brief explanation of the proposed researchJoint venture is the effective business practice in which two or more parties forms thebusiness together for continuing the specific project or other business activity(Guest Post, 2016). Forming joint venture with the company helps the company to properly globalise its productsand services and attains maximum profitability and productivity. Therefore Globalisation refersto the integrated process which leads to the free movement of the individuals, businessorganisation and government worldwide. This research is based on John Lewis, which is a chainof high end departmental store operating through out the UK. This research will discuss aboutthat John Lewis will expand its market share in Indonesia by forming Joint venture with InterimClothing Company. This project will determine the aims and objectives for the case scenario ofJon Lewis and will also determine the scope and limitation of the research. Further more it willalso analyse the requirement of the cost and the resources for conducting the research anddetermine the risk register that is associated with the proposed research. Main reason for choosing this topic is to understand the effective way of expandingbusiness at the international level by forming joint venture with the company. This will enhancethe knowledge that how joint venture of both the companies will enhance the productivity andthe profitability level and maintains long term existence of the company(Bartlett, Doz andHedlund, 2013). 2.
